.30 Impact was "loosing it"

12" groups at 123 yards. Found the moderator loose and clipping pellets. Tightened and got 6" groups. Maybe I better clean the barrel. WOW. Black lead wipe patches came out dozens of times. I have been washing all the pellets and drying them and then back into the tin. Thinking now that I have removed the chips as well as the factory lube. Went to a fresh unwashed tin and all is great again

Yeah more friction = more buildup and faster leading. Barrel polishing greatly mitigates the leading problems.

I have been using Napier power pellet lube after washing my pellets and almost never clean my barrel and when I do clean it only needs a couple patches 1 wet 2 or 3 dry. I have also i never needed to replace a breech o ring. Not sure what's in napier as I have never smelled any other fluid like it.

how many cans of pellets does that Napier coat, it is not cheap by volume 15.90 for .85 of an ounce

I spray a ship load, I wash a tin or 2 then put them in a 1 gallon zip lock bag spread them out in the bag and spray a couple pumps, close the bag and move them around till I think they are evenly coated and put them back in the tins. I save the baggy for the next batch and so on. I can only guess about 15 large tins (350count) or more per bottle. JSB 34gr .25

I use white lightning clean ride as a pellet lube. Seems to work fine. I have also used rem oil in the past. I guess some use pledge wood polish as well. Im sure there are all different things that would work.
