Do Beeman silver jets exist anymore?

I own several different RWS models and their hunting pellet of choice seems to the silver jets (.177 & .22).

I am almost down to a few crumbs in my last tin.....

With the vast amount of knowledge amassed here, any suggestions? Replacement types and brands? Yes I have tried the usual suspects and brands, but no cigar! After looking at the tin,it appears they were made in Japan? Thanks!

I have one box:

Long gone .... the manufacturer in JAPAN and there similar pellets went into obsolescence IIRC by the early to mid 90's

Still have a couple boxes of Jets and a box of Aces in .177 for nostalgia sake.

I still have a box of Jets in my closet along with the Crosman 761XL powermaster "1976 special edition" and my old, Blue Streak from the late 70's. Nostalgia!

I used those Mt Star pellets back in the 70s from ARH (Robert Laws) in the orange boxes. Their quality (by appearance at least) was amazing. There was a slightly domed version and then the pointed ones came out later, and also a light weight diabolo pellet. I still have a box of 177 and 20 cal from Beeman (blue and yellow boxes), and tested them in my HW90 and F124 against the various HN and JSBs. My conclusion was that “looks aren’t everything!”, and fortunately I found substitutes that shoot as well. I think that you can too, be persistent! Have you tried a couple of the pellet samplers that HN and JSB offer? For the cost of one tin of pellets that might not work you can try 4 or 5 without amassing a bunch of tins that shoot lousy (like I did!). Good luck to you!

the mount star (japan-made) silver jets and silver ace (domed version) come up for sale regularly on ebay and gunbroker....they are are bit more than a good box of ft premiers....$40-50 ....i bought these locally in ft.worth at firearms unlimited (place is still there) in 1984.....they were great for my .177 diana 36 --- but i hated the box idea. i couldnt carry them in my back pocket like the other tins and plastic boxes...... the h&n attempt at making a similar-looking pellet is a real let down if you know what the japanese ones are capable of doing..... maybe those 10.3 grain jsb / air arms cylindrical-type pellets would suffice. those 9 grain winchester domes in .177 arent bad i have learned. cheap too.

Hi there Racer1,

Yeah, I've been searching for them too. Best darn pellet I used back in the day (mid 1980's), Beeman Silver Jet "magnums".. Finally, after 5 years of searching, I found the original manufacturer of mine (says "made in Germany on my box). They are now under this name and made by the original manufacturer (I believe):

H&N Silver Point Pellets 177 Caliber 11.57 Grain

Can find them on Amazon or MidwayUSA for sure.

Good luck and shoot straight!

I have a box of .20 caliber Silver Arrow that look exactly as the .177 Silver Jet.

The .177s were indeed made in Japan but the .20s were made in Germany and, apparently re-named when Bob sold the company to S/R Industries.

Resurrection!
.20 cal silver arrows 15.5 g and .20 silver jets 11.21 g.
.177 silver arrows 11.5 g and silver jets 8.4 g
Both were for sale at the same time and the real difference was weight however they look almost identical IMO
