This is my project to improve the looks of the "abused" wood stock of my trusty Air Arms rifle.

I am by no means an expert in woodworking (this is my first attempt ever to deal with a rifle stock) but I trust my hands and know my limitations.

In the end it turned into a complete makeover for my rifle...

Wow, great work. I love the dark reddish brown color too. With the first coats of red I thought yuck. You had some great vision though, it really turned out great.

I was inpired for this color from some of the "Russian Red" AK-47 stocks.

The first layers of bright red stain was a necessary step so the stock could get a very unique weaving texture...
