I come from the brother hood of Motorcycles, Never really thought of it that way, But I have bought and sold many many motorcycle parts for years,
Never been ripped off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was ripped off on a scope on the Marauder form,
Now I sent Zebra a Michael stock to Carbon copy just for him self and me,
Have not heard from him in two months , sent the stock about 5 months ago.
I am just an honest person, I expect that from everyone else...
Give me your word, That's good for me...
I guess I am just a dumb as-s and need to keep up with the changing world.
Or is just the gun people are dishonest people,
Never had this problem on any of my Motorcycle sites,
Mike

Its been two months, I would think most emergency's would be over enough for a simple E mail.
I know and can get in touch with some people in the law enforcement in the New York area.
I will see what can be done and get back to the site,
If you want me to keep you informed on the out come, Chime in and let me know.
Its going to take a few days.

@iride I would def like to stay informed as I am much like you and can be too trusting. I had a very similar experience buying and selling on the phantom drone sites and corvette forums and never a problem. Of course I guess now that I think of it I haven't been ripped off here yet but stuff happens like one guy wanted to trade with me when I had a gun which is now gone. We spoke for hours on the phone with the culmination being I went and purchased a box, tape, bubble pack and prepaid the label then spent a good hour packing it up only to get a text that says his wife won't let him trade and he will contact me tomorrow. Never heard from him again. One guy sent me a Rainstorm on trade that had magazine problems but turned out to be one of the most stand up guys around and paid for shipping to return the gun. I gave him a great deal as he still wanted what I sent him. If I knew then what I know now about Airgun's I surely would have kept it. But I digress, I think there are dishonest people all over the place and I guess weapons attract them. Someone else had mentioned his absence in a different thread and I read that he was given a hard time which could be the reason he stepped away. Hopefully you will get your end of the deal.

I guess in the UK it's a bit different because everyone is within driving distance. As I travel a lot to shoots all over the UK I regularly transport goods around for people and often given things I didn't know I was getting, one shoot I went home with 6 scopes and £250. It's a bit bewildering at times but it's a system that seems to work. I'd defo get someone's details before I sent anything though, things do go missing and people do drop off the map.

Of The people on this forum Zebra is one of them that I trust the most, I don't know his situation or what is going on but I don't think he would rip anyone off, If you sent him a Stock then do you have his other contact information phone email, have you tried to contact him outside of the forum?

I am actually a little worried about him he is a pretty active member and his profile shows he hasn't even looked on the forum in a long time

If in business communication rules! Those who don't eventually go away it seems.
Don't know "Zebra" ( don't care for folks who never post any real names or emails addys, or .... though, as far as doing business at least) . Claims to test for invairtech - whomever makes the cartridge rifles- lives 20min from a famous tuner - , no name or email I've seen. That all "could" be fine.

I do NOT work on stuff for others, but I have had the same email addy for well over 10 years, have met hundreds of airgun folks face to face, have sold hundereds of airguns ( I am NOT a dealer, just buse em & sell em) and never a complaint. Easy to verifie who I am.
I wouldn't deal with anyone unknown. Plenty of people who've been imnto airguns for 10+ years w/out issue.

Now if it is all on the up and up ( should be eh?) a custom stock made the tradional way , a 6 month wait would be normal, custom out of CF ??????????????????
You need some contact but DO plan on some more waiting.

Get to a match! Airgun folks ( the ones who show their faces) are THE nicest, you'll learn a ton, met tuners, manufactors, dealers, who NEVER post anywhere. Get the skinny on SO much airgun business ................ .

Hang in there, make contact ( heck working with CF could land you in a Hospital fast with one booboo) it will most likely work out, a stock is NOT the kind of thing a "scammer" type would go for.

Could be health reasons, everything gets put on hold when your health goes south,I've been there.
Long time Harley Rider and I've seen both sides and that goes with gun folks, car folks and more, your always going to have a few people that sour the selling and buying part and it does hurt the rest of us in a way.....Trust is hard to get but Easy to lose....
Ive had a few internet deals going, selling a Tuner and a 17s and I've had health issues that kept me from getting back to these guys and it almost ruined the deals and they thought I was a scammer but after talking to both and explaining my health issues I got the deals back on track.
I suffer from heart disease and can go days without issues then I can get taken down for a week or so and then I lose track of everything for awhile and it takes me a bit to get back on track......
Im a pretty trusting guy and have done a lot of deals on the internet and have not been ripped off yet, I do try and do as much checking out of the person I'm buying from as possible, the biggest is getting a phone number and calling them.

"POP"I guess in the UK it's a bit different because everyone is within driving distance. I don't know about that. I'm having issues with Gary Cane as we speak. It looks like petty crap with his "front office" may cost me a deposit. I paid their demanded "non-refundable" deposit and heard nothing back for a week. Three Emails letter I get a message from the owner whining about how his front office is under staffed and how he is offended by my concern for my money. I try to repair the situation and he decides he wants out of the deal anyway. He offers my deposit back and then drops off the face of the earth. I guess we will know by the middle of next week what sort of company I was dealing with and until then I'll hold my peace. However; beware of the company that demands a non-refundable deposit BEFORE starting work. Frankly dealing with his company is beginning to feel rather more like a game than a business proposition. Too bad really, he seems to do nice work.

ATTENTION!!!! STOLEN FX BOBCAT MK2 .25 CAL.

He has the rifle listed for sale on this site. He claimed to have a .22 and a .25 in the ad heading, and said the 22 was sold and that he still has the .25... His name is Anthony Jarvis and he lives in Columbus Ohio. His user name on here was "plinkster" and now it is "SteadyAim" He scammed me by making me think we were trading rifles. I sent him my bobcat, and he sent me a VCR. He has done this to people since 2009. He has the rifle up for sale on this site, and he seems desperate to sell it. He also sold the extra .25 mags seperate as well on this site. so whoever bought the mags, please contact me because I'll want those back. Please spread the word. That bobcat .25 mk 2 for sale on here is stolen. DO NOT BUY IT!

When I was looking for a Diana 48 I found one on one of the on line forums at a decent price. I e mailed the owner asking for photo's which they sent along with a request for my shipping info. I then asked about the bottom dollar to which they replied with a price, address and asked me to provide a tracking number when I shipped. I found this odd so I googled the address, it was in Georgia at an apartment complex. Then I did a google search for RWS 48 images, about half way down the page there was one of the photos that was e mailed to me. Clicking on the link took me to an ad from 2015 on a gun site, the seller was in Oklahoma. It contained the exact description that was in the ad I replied to and had all three photo's that had been e mailed to me. I e mailed the administrator from the site the ad was on informing him it was a scam but never heard anything back.

I've messed with guns and hot rods all my life and have found way, way more shysters in the gun world.

I hope you get all your stuff back.
