Digital compresor guage?

Anybody have a good source for a digital pressure gauge for a YH? I don't trust the analog ones. I don't want to break the bank either. This is about my price range, but not sure of the quality :(

far_shot,

I had the same thought about 5 or 6 years ago. My logic was, "to hell with replacing [my guns] baby gauges and put the money into a nice digital for the tank!"

This lead me to find MCMaster-Carr gauges and the difference in cost between a gauge that has the NIST blessing and the one that doesn't was nearly double at the time. I checked just now and prices have gone up but not by much. If I wanted accuracy for repeatability's sake then it was going to cost, as it usually does. So I never did.

McMaster-Carr's seem obtainable and if it were your money I'd spend it for the NIST version😉. After all, this is about accuracy, right?

WIKA has several and I found one for as "little" as ~$460!

I hope this was helpful.

Digital does not guarantee accuracy. I'm not suggesting that particular item is not spot on but $70 UD is a lot of freight for something that may or may not be more accurate than what you already have. That gauge has the wrong thread and will require an adaptor to make it fit. Have you compared the OE unit against something that you know is true or do you only suspect that it is out because it doesn't match the one on your gun or because it's Chinese? Also if you have an auto-stop version and you like that feature, that won't work with an aftermarket gauge. Just a few things to think about before you part with your hard earned $.

Not too concerned about finding a gauge or adapter........between paintball,Scuba and PCP,I've always found the correct adapter in research. The OEM YH gauge reads differently every time different guns hit 250 or 300 BAR. The YH goes to 5,200 psi in filling the Huben....pretty sure the YH is telling me a lie. I have an Edgun digital on the Impact reg port...I suppose I could put it on the YH, but would also have to get an adapter because they are different threads too.
