Results DIFTA Field Target Match Saturday, September 17, Damascus, MD

Hi, everybody. The next DIFTA match is this Saturday, September 17, at the WAC-IWLA near Damascus, MD.

Once again, we are trying a mix of Saturdays and Sundays this year, so note that this match is on Saturday. Registration and final target setup will be at 9:00 AM. The sight-in range will be open after the targets are ready for the match, which will begin at 10:00 AM. Registration is $10 for non-DIFTA members, $5 for members, and $0 for first-timers.

Paolo is cooking up a 72-shot match, with a couple of position and/or rapid lanes. Maybe practice your standing and kneeling?

The next matches after this are on Sunday, October 16, followed by the infamous Fantasy Shoot on October 22!

See Joe's map or the chapter website for directions, and feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

See you Saturday!

Yes I did make it down. Talked to a number of people. Can't remember there names but one guy was shooting Daystate and he was partnered with a black guy shoot a Styer.
They were 2 very nice guys. Both filled me in on some of the rules for shoot FT. Right now I so not have a gun 20 ft lbs or under. This is something that I will have to take care of this fall so I can shoot nest year. I'm 69 years old, do you think I'm crazy???? this looks like a lot of fun.

Great! Sorry I missed you.

Crazy? I reckon you'd be crazy not to do it.

PS, it's an asset and not a liability if you don't have a rifle for FT yet. We do a LOT of sharing, and it's very common to come "unarmed" and squad up with somebody and share equipment. This can be a great way to get a feel for what type of rifle (and what style of FT shooting) might suit you best!

PPS, for the ridiculous Fantasy Shoot on October 22, the 20 ft lb limit need not apply as we are shooting juvenile kinetic targets that won't care if we hit 'em hard.

Those 2 guys told me about the Fantasy Shoot, but that is the week the wife and I will be in Tennessee. If it was not for that I would be there. That is why I said next year.
