Different calibre same weight and velovity test...

Has anybody tested different calibre pellets having the same same weight and shot at the same velocity? Think someone with an FX Impact could actually do that. Always wanted to know if a 15 grain .177 pellet shot 900ft/sec would be more accurate over long ranges than a .22 15 grain pellet at the same velocity. The idea being, mass staying the same, surface area is smaller hence less exposed to wind...
Any thoughts??

I actually intended to try just this when I get my hands on an impact in 25 cal. I want to use Diablo pellets on the lighter end then be able to switch to max power and push 25 cal bullets with hopes of achieving comparable performance to a 30 cal impact.

Theory being that the 25 cal bullet will have a better ballistic coefficient and sectional density than a 30 cal pellet of the same weight.

Does anyone have experience trying this?

So a quick update...
Finally got my .177 Impact... and man do i love it... It did seem a lot more compact than it looks on screen... Unbelievably balanced and works as well as you'd expect from FX, which is just brilliant.. Not had much trigger time with it yet as i'm in the city.. Its come from the factory with the Reg at 100Bar ... did a quick Chrony test and got some basic results.. shoots H&N Sniper 15g at about 4 ft/lbs at the lowest setting and about 21 ft/lbs at the highest setting (adjustments made just to the spring tensioner and the valve stem knob).. looking at adjusting the reg to about 110 and testing next... Stay tuned for further updates if interested... accuracy tests to follow after..
