Did Crossman Just Raise Prices On Challenger models?

Austin, The price on the Challenger has been that high for quite some time. There is a new model coming out so if I were you I would wait and check it out, It has a more adjustable stock and a regulator. You do know I'm sure that it is built for "sporter" class ten meter shooting and can have problems with the cocking bolt popping open if you up the power as it's only held shut by a small ball bearing and detent. Hope this helps!! J.L.

Well glad I asked. Sounds like the new model addressed the cocking issue which is a big deal. Typically don't manufacturers lower the cost of the soon to be outdated model, especially one with issues? Maybe the old jack it up for awhile then just before release put it down where it was and act like they did a big drop to liquidate? Either that or the newer one is going to be quite a bit more expensive and this hike may soften that? I am in no hurry and mainly wanted it for a basement range PCP gun so might not ever adjust it up to 12ftlb but maybe. I like tinkering.

Qball- you got INSTANT EQUITY-!!!

LOL sounds like it, I still haven’t gotten around putting it up for sale. If anyone is interested in a brand new one just PM me.

I called crosman and the new challenger won’t be out for at least 8 months! With all the stuff going on I won’t be surprised it would take a year and price will hit 1k mark. Hope it is still made in the USA with LW barrel not another one of their horrible QC Turkey guns(akela was returned within 24 hours).
