Diana Sky Hawk, Waiting For Reviews.

I ordered pellets from AOA yesterday and inquired about the new Sky Hawk Bullpup, the guy I talked to said fit and finish was outstanding, trigger was ok, they were selling fast, parts were available, they still had all options in stock, I asked what size groups it would do at 50yards, said they/he haven't tried that yet, emphasized "it's a $600.00 air gun". I'm anxious to hear from members with practical experience with these, if you have one please share/review for us! Thanks!!!

JohnL57 is correct. They are Chinese and have /are also sold under the Artemis and Spa brand names. They are known to have serious magazine problems especially in the .25 cal. Barrels are a crap shoot. If you get a bad one then send it back instantly do not try to fix it. If you get a good one it is a great buy at $600. Diana is putting a much nicer stock on them but the gun is the same as far as I know. They are light weight, fast handling and powerful and could be great once past the bad barrel and magazine issue. They may have fixed the problems but you need to be aware.

All correct but no one has given you the name already. This rifle has been around (without the stock) for some time now. It's the Artemis P15, Spa P15, Fox P15. Search for those names in Youtube and you will see some videos about it. Aaron Cantrell adquired one recently and is posting videos about it right now, he is really liking it:

The barrel on mine was complete crap. Would have shot better using a drinking straw. Whole bore was significantly oversized. Had to replace it with a LW. Because the original barrel is 13 mm OD I had to use a 12mm replacement barrel with brass bushings made to make it fit properly. Cutting down a larger OD barrel is risky.

Shortly thereafter the reg bit it and I had to replace it with a huma. The Huma made a huge difference in performance even compared with the original reg pre blow up. The original had a lot of creep.

Trigger can be made pretty respectable. Far from the worst I've used.

The shroud is terrible and the baffles absolutely have to be removed and replaced. It come from the factory tremendously loud, plus the baffles clip and ruin accuracy. Even after a lot of work there it remains a lot louder than my Vulcan for example, despite being set to shoot about 6fpe less powerfully.

The action is sound and well put together and finished. Hammer spring is easily adjusted. There are no fancy floating hammers or anything so watch out for hammer bounce, which I'm sure is the reason for the loud report.

Mine now (at last) shoots at a ridiculously high level for a cheap gun. Under 1/2 inch at 50y. Just not nearly as cheap as it was when I first bought it...

I preordered one within minutes of seeing it on PA new product list, they do not have them yet.

Yes it is a $600.00 gun, but having spent thousands on walnut stocks, the way I see it, if I have to have JSAR put a TJ barrel and Donney fl on it and replace the regulator, if bad, I am still way ahead, but then I have a thousand dollar Prod and a $1500.00 BulldogI am sure all you PCP , airgun speaking, addicts know what I mean.

Add to the pluses that the fixes for the mentioned problems are well documented and redilyfixed .

Having said that I hope Diana chains the Deuchlanders to Snowpeaks benches at night.

As JohnL57 and SoCalOldMan mentioned,
The P15 has been around for a while. There's a P10, P12, and the P15 made by SPA [China]
aka Artemis, and a few other names as well. I've been waiting to pull the trigger on 1 for a while.
Well, the time finally came last night / today - Since my Kral Puncher Breaker is 'Puncher Broken'. 😜

I have an Artemis P15 and an Artemis PP700S-A heading my way. [From Krale in the Netherlands]
The PP700S-A [w/ folding stock] may stay like that, or, turn into a mini-bullpup.. we'll see..

Anyways, in their original OEM form, they were / are very simplistic. Function over form..
Not the case now that Diana has re-branded them, and have given em' high end stock options.

As for anything not-wood, things are most likely the same.
[Unless they upgraded the regulators and the barrels] *shrug*

There have been a LOT of amazing reviews for the P15.
There have also been a decent number of bad reviews, [due mostly to the barrels]
*Not being uniform, having varying ID, tight spot causing issues..
And also the regulator not always working as well as they should..

New barrels - either OEM, blanks, CZ, LW, etc. will fix the accuracy..
New regulators - either OEM or Huma will fix the air pressure/usage..

For those who've had to fix / modify theirs, the updated reviews are also Very Good.

As Erlis mentioned, Aaron Cantrell has been doing videos regarding his P15..
He's done unboxing, 1st impressions, accessories / modifications, etc.
Annnd . . . He did an indoor-to-outdoor accuracy test, showing shot after shot,
and each pellet shooting right through the same hole.. Pellet on pellet action.. 🤘

For the price, it's hard to pass up, and IMO, ya can't go wrong..
Even if upgrading was a 'must', I still think it'd be worth it in the end.

I like to design, fabricate, prototype, tinker, etc. so to me, these rifles are sweet!

*Checks E-mail*

Just waiting to hear back from Donny @ DonnyFL about my adapter
so I'll be able to quiet both toys down as soon as they get here. 😃

👍

Have Artemis p15 in 177 and 25 may have to get me a 22. Magazines needs work. I just buy the aftermarket magazines from a guy in the uk. Doesn’t cost that much an way better than the factory mags. I don’t care for the fancy stocks that Diana is putting on the guns. The stocks added more weight to the gun vs the plain beech stock. Each to there own

Hey, nice work there, do you have a website? Are you building other products? What's the process to order one of this, PM you? Thanks once more

Thanks AirRanger, from what i saw until now they are absolutely same inside but the Minelli stock is beautiful, i think it is worth price difference. Magazines are same cr..., i have few magazines already sent to Germany for Skyhawk users (in 177 cal).

On the other side, P15 is lighter in original variant and you won't be so sorry if you scratch it and you will be walking with her lot, trust me, i love mine :)

ddark,

Those are some fantastic looking magazines! Very Nice Job!
I just ordered my .22 cal P15 and 2 extra OEM mags from Krale in the Netherlands,
and am hoping to test all of the factory stuff out in a few days..

If I even think that I might have any issues with them,
I will get in touch with you about yours for sure!

Thanks for letting me / us know!

🙂👍

Sam -

PS: Are you printing any other accessories for the P15?
Some of us [me included] would like a 'biathlon style' charging/cocking lever,
as well as multi-adjustable butt plates..
I've seen a few people printing them, but, figured I'd ask you first.

Me personally - I'd like the 2 above mentioned things for my Puncher Breaker too.

Thanks again!

ddark,

Thank you for the heads up! Yes, JB3D / JP3DPD, I've seen some of his stuff!
Awesome, between you two, I think we're all covered. That's great.

Ahhh, Great job on that PB .22 mag!! That looks amazing!
I really like the angled / beveled top cover idea..
Compared to the OEM cover, I think that yours 'should' help with sliding pellets in.
Very cool!

I'll have to pester you later on to see if you'll end up going into 'production' with them.

👍
