Diana LP8

Does anyone has love for this pistol here? just wondering, I find it looks cool with the retractable stock.

Yes, have had one of these for 5 or 6 years, and it's lot's of fun. Good at keeping birds from building on the end of the porch and keeping moles at bay near the house. The screw on the muzzle weight wouldn't stay tight so I removed it and use the cocking tube that came with it instead. Not necessary but when chasing things around the yard for an afternoon it keeps it enjoyable. It's accurate for me out to 12/15 yards. Don't have the collapsible stock, but if it isn't long enough to simulate a rifle, well, at 20 to 30 yards the Webley Vulcan comes out. Can be noisy in enclosed areas-garage, basement...not bad in the yard, though. Got a 2x20 BSA scope that is just enough for the gun. The long eye relief can have you chasing the bright spot around a bit but it's neither feature nor bug.

There have been a few warm summer afternoons with a chair, table, a half a tin of pellets, and a cool one at hand where we put 4 of 5 pellets into a 2" plumbing pipe cap hanging on a fence at 30 yards. Good times.

Mine doesn't have a stock and it's a real powerhouse of a pistol. Have to be very very very disciplined in order to shoot this one accurately. It's pretty LOUD to shoot. It's pretty hard to cock even with the cocking aid. I bought it because of the power and also due to the German Diana lineage and because I'm a collector. Buy it for hunting not for plinking IMHO. YO!

Went to a guy's house and shot his. Then I got out some pistols and we hit everything we couldn't hit with the Diana boinger. It's powerful. His didn't have a collapsible stock. We were shooting offhand.

The pistols I brought that day were a Crosman 150 with a simple trigger mod and a Gamo Compact also with a simple trigger mod. Both are easy pistols to shoot well.

I know this is an old thread, but after trying to find one of these in the States to no avail I finally located a dealer in Canada that had some. I wanted the carbine because of the weight and you have no idea how pleased I am with this pistol.

It shoots JSB 7.33 at 587 and is deadly accurate. I had John do a trigger job on it and it pulls 1.14 lbs..

The only thing I didn't care for ( at all ) was the location of the butt when placed up to my shoulder. I made the attachment in the pics and it solved the problem.

Absolutely no regrets in making this purchase. However, the starlings and sparrows that have met their demise since acquiring it may have a different opinion,if they were still around..

If u by chance want to sell it at anytime let me know, especially if it's still in good condition.
