Diana bullseye mount?

1st gen , 2nd gen?

People who enjoy and understand these things sometimes like them. And if the newer one and set up correctly some seem to enjoy them. It also seems at first they did have issues. And currently if the shooter has a scope killing rig ( tune it, should fix that) and simply wants a mount that will suddenly cure all issue it may not work that way.

Not sure if it was a 1st or 2nd generation John. I bought it in anticipation of using it on a new Diana 56 that I thought I had ordered but the gun shop stuffed up the order. I was told that the 56 is a scope killer and bought this plus a couple of cheap Niko Stirling Gold Crowns 4*32 AO scopes for it.

I still have one on my 177 Benjamin Trail which has killed many scopes and it’s still holding zero after 3 tins of pellets.

Do get the HW ( or the like) a worthwhile step up. And if this mount intrigues you, you are the type to enjoy and benefit from one. It's just folks who only want to tighten clamping screws w/out further thought that may not be too happy with them.

Pick one up ( for your Diana or HW) and give us a full report. Not all that much current info on them. An out of the box install & performance report and if needed a owner tweaked - and what that entails- report. I'm pretty sure I could get one set up right and I am pretty sure some novices might need a touch of directions/advice.tips.

Keep us posted.

I have several, I love them. From Hector Medina I learned to drill a couple of small holes and put in set screws with delrin tips to improve the lock up. I have put them on full power Diana 54/56's and used non springer rated scopes without any issue, I know not all are fans but I sure am!

Any chance you can supply a picture of set screw placement?

Thanks
