Diana 340 N TEC Luxus Compact & NcSTAR CPO

ddransoml had a bout of poor judgement and sold me his .22 cal rifle:

He had the CPO (Compact Prismatic Optic) on it and I really had no other better recommendations so I ordered one for myself. It has 3 x magnification, is pretty clear and I can see my pellet holes clearly at 28 yards. The dovetail to picatinny mount is not droop rectifying but does allow you to mount the scope further back than most. The dot is perhaps a tad large but this is not a target gun and it IS easily visible. The reticle is etched and has hold over and windage hash marks. The illumination is green or blue and is only a 3/4 open circle around the dot. First shot was an inch low and 1/2 inch left. So I don't think this gun has any appreciable barrel droop at all. I could have got on paper with a business card.

This springer is of course somewhat hold sensitive but not hard to figure out. It is a fine plinker and squirrel gun. These two soup cans were full of water. The shot ( at 28 yards ) blew the water 3 ft into the air and went through and through. One shows in and the other out. These are tin cans ( steel actually ) and not thin aluminum like a beer can.

Anyway, Thanks dd. Love the gun. It's quieter than my 350 and a great size and weight. A beauty too.
