Design Details of Airgun Slugs

Hello, I´ve been trying to make my own slugs in .25, .30 and .42 cal for my modified condors. I even built a swage press (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?76514-Lets-make-a-Swage-press) and even tried with a reloading press also (Lee classic cast). I have all kind of results, some are very good some are frustrating, but anyway its pure fun. With some experimenting you can make ultra expansive slugs, solid slugs, traditional HP slugs... My advice is to experiment, I'm a Veterinary Pathologist, no experience on machining or ballistics but its been quite an experience. I live in western Mexico, firearms possession and use are problematic here so they mine are put aside for the moment (gun control is a total waste of time), but we have no restrictions on airguns. It is very difficult and expensive to get the slugs from the US so my best option is to make my own. Keep on trying and share your experience

Wow! I started building from your plans 5-6 years ago(?) and never finished it. (My fault, nothing wrong with the plans, just saw something shiny and added the press to my museum of partially completed projects.) Hope to get back to it soon. I didn't realize you were swaging airgun slugs. I guess that's a long way of saying "Cool", and thanks for the plans!
