Delta Stryker HD 4.5-30x56

At $1600 the Delta Stryker HD 4.5-30x56 isn't cheap. But at 1/2 the price of some "tier 1" scopes (made in the same LOW factory in Japan) it is certainly competitive. 🤓

I have the 4.5-30 Stryker and it's truly awesome.

In a recent video DLO put it as his current pick of all scopes in this mag range under $2k. Also stated flat that this price range is where you're getting the most scope for your money.

Interestingly the Nexus is his new recommendation in the slightly lower mag bracket.

On full magnification looks like just under 23 yards. Must use Minimum magnification for clear picture at 10y. Won't work for die hard FT shooters. But can easily take care of pests & targets at close range.

Just a note - those numbers are in meters, so 23m is roughly 25yds.

That said mine will focus parallax free at 20m on full mag. Like you say, it's clear at close range at lower powers and plenty good enough for pesting up close.

Luckily for them, the die hard FT guys can (and do) generally just get the SFP 5-50 model which focuses down to 10m 👍🏻

Great points!

I really share your opinion about the Stryker 4.5-30! I've had 2 of them and still have one. This is a lot of scope for the money and getting anywhere near that quality level would have easily cost you 1000$ more, just a couple years ago when they first came out!

Now, the new Delta Javelin has just landed and I've just received mine. I haven't had time to make a full review and test it thoroughly, nor to compare it side by side with the stryker but I coudn't resist and mounted it on my redwolf for a first try out. And so far, I'm impressed! Glass quality seems really high and I got that scope for just 1000$!!!

I'll do all the testing (check the tracking with leveled rules, check for optical defaults....) but my first impressions are just awesome! I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a great scope. It's not as compact as the stryker and it doesn't resist so much recoil but who cares on a pcp!

I'll come back with more details when I have the time and opportunity to check that more in depth....
