Delta Optical Stryker HD 5-50-56 SFP mil/mil with DLS-1 reticle

Like I told you before, I’m not worried about warranty issues after ten years because I’ve never had a scope go bad after the first year or two. What did bother me though, is that everywhere I looked, any information I found stated the warranty was ten years with no additional information. Everywhere I looked, I couldn’t find anything about the warranty being non-transferable. I finally sent Delta Optical an e-mail and got a reply the other day. They told me although they would like a receipt or the warranty card to be filled out, they realize this isn’t always possible, especially when a long period of time has passed. They told me they can look up the approximate date of manufacture from the serial number and as long as it’s not right at the ten year mark, they will cover warranty repairs on the scope. They told me that taking care of the customer and any scope problems are their primary concerns. Because no warranty card or receipt is absolutely necessary, the warranty would be valid regardless. Just thought I’d share because that seems to be one of your concerns.

Well I got an exoensive IOR Optolyth Valdada spotting scope past warranty which has artifacts in the glass.

I was told by the US IOR Valdada distributor that I would need to mail it to Germany and negotiate payment with them to repair it.

AM I BEING STUPID 4 BUYING MARCH AND KAHLES? BOTH HAVE ONLY 10 YEAR WARRANTIES TOO.

I have some very old Japan made scopes that had blemishes in the glass due to age with no more company to support them too.

I was forced to fix them myself through a friend who works at an optometrist clinic who sent the lenses to have them redone however I don't know how long the recoatings are gonna last.

The Optolyth IOR Valdada the eyepieces (I have 2 different ones) and lenses in the scope body are all blemished from age guessing probably 15 years.

This is the reason I push for LIFETIME WARRANTY SCOPES. (Except Vortex)

It's a pretty nice scope however their brand's non transferable 10 year warranty made me wait till the $2700.00 Retail Trijicon 10 mile version with no BS Lifetime Warranty goes cheaper than $1682.99.

I don't even like the MARCH and Kahles NON Lifetime Warranties either.

Then again PPL who pay the premium price for March and Kahles usually can afford to pay out of pocket repairs if and when necessary.
