Definitive list of Compressors for under 2k US

I think the Yong Heng price listed above (2,279$) is way wrong, Most sites(Ebay, Alibaba) offer it for around 350$ with shipping from china. I don't think this pump can be beat for its rapid fill speed & small size, for the price. If it will top my 88CF carbon bottle just 15 times, it has paid for itself in trips to the scuba shop.....if it lasts longer, it's all gravy. The only negative is it needs a better air-dryer added, which I made from a 75% dollar Chinese one with 18$ bag of molecular-sieve beads added.

can't forget https://hatsanusa.com/collections/tactair-fill-systems/products/lightning-compressor. its the AV with all the bells and whistles. Gold dryer. digital gauge, digital purge, auto purge on/off. No Alibaba listings for it yet...

I have never come across one of these. Apparently from their website it isn’t a plug and play machine -

*For electric compressors we strongly suggest having a professional electrician to safely wire your facility.”

might be able to rig it up to be a plug in? Certainly the gas powered one would be good for guys looking to have a unit at the range for more portability. Doesn’t say it costs more for gas.

1900$. I’m on the fence - should I add it?

AOA also sells the Omega Air Charger for $1395 that's a possibility for the list too.

In all of my research, I also found the China manufacturer that makes something very similar to the Air Venturi 4500 110v compressor: 4500 PSI Compressor[/QUOTE]https://www.airventuri.com/av/featured-products/compressor/embed/#?secret=OWheDve1op

Don't know if these guys are the OEM manufacturer for Air Venturi's compressors, but they sure look similar. Here's a picture of the chinese version of the larger Air Venturi 4500 compressor. It's a 2 cylinder compressor weighing approx. 35Kg, 2.2Kw, 30mpa, 300bar, 4500psi unit. Says it'll fill a 6.8L bottle from 0-30mpa in ~30min.

This Chinese company also makes something that looks very close to the Air Venturi Nomad too as shown here.

Specs they provided are for this unit is: 12v or 110v power input, 350w, 5.5Kg, 30mpa, 300bar, 4500psi. It needs ~18min to fill a .5L tank from 0-30mpa.

I checked with them and if you order 5+ units, the larger model goes for $600 USD FOB China and the smaller one is $300 in quantities of 20 or more units FOB China. The name and address on their email is:

GUANG DONG DGS EQUIPMENT CO.,LTD.
Address: No.29, 1st floor, lian hua road, Changan town, Dong guan city, Guang dong provice of China.

I found these guys on Youtube demo'ing something that looked like the Air Venturi Nomad, so I searched for who they were and how much they wanted for it.

If enough members are interested, perhaps get a group deal going?

Thanks

I actually ordered a compressor from AOA last Friday. The Daystate compressor deal is only on a few they have left - so I left it off for that reason. HOWEVER- they have a few left. So if you are wanting one buy now.

The small compressors that cant fill an air tank (like a 60min scuba tank) I also left off the list. Might need to start a new thread for those or change the name of this thread.

I hope they (AoA) still has that deal when I am ready to buy. As I said before? If not, the 4 stage is $400.00 more but their description of what you are getting is exactly what the $1985 unit is. It still says 3 stage. Is there a run timer? auto purge? adjustable pressure, shut off? additional filtration not required? or $300.00 more than that for a Coltri with all these options.
Just saying for me? I'll not go in debt, And it may be August rather than June before I "invest" more on this than I I did on my gun.

I have no idea how good this one is, but it's $699 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JW9DAGK/?coliid=I10BLQ5BZ9IBDY&colid=2MA3VU26271GS&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it the 6.8L container 30Mpa about 25-30 minutes. Ten reviews, 4.5 stars. Nothing below 3 stars. Does sound like the Yong Heng and uses external water cooling like the Yong Heng

That's the type I looked at in various formats - a V-Twin type compressor

I narrowed my search down to a DAVV which was about the same size as Yong Heng and with a carrying handle, but lack of feedback on who actually makes them, and how reliable they are, getting spare parts, etc. put me off - so I played safe and got a Yong Heng instead
