Definitely a scammer

That's a great idea Jim. I believe we all need to be proactive in some way when we are selling on any classifieds.

Not only to protect ourselves but to protect other as well. As an example, the images of the guns that I have already sold could have been pulled and used not only on another website but could also be used at a later date.

Caption the note with: Gun (or whatever item) is listed by (screen name)

Another level of safety is to ask the seller to take a picture of the item with a current newspaper (showing the date) or a specifically staged photo with the item and send it to you in a personal account so that you at least know they actually do have the item in their possession.

(and just in case some of my "friends" pipe in, I will not be taking any pics of me holding the gun in my underwear....) lol.

The same exact thing happend to me a while back that is why I put only available on agn on my expensive items now. You can still see the post in forum feedback from when it occurred and I notified Michael. And he added the turkey to the scammers list to let us all know. I am glad you caught it. I wish they could ping his I.P. and nail the bugger or something by responding to his phony add and the emailing him and getting the Ip address to ban him from both sites via his computer or router thingy.

Scumbags 👎

What's a newspaper. :-D

I won't buy anything without a phone call. My spidey sense can weed out a scammer pretty quick with a little conversation. The very specific photograph does stop the cases where people just copy ads, but I don't like to waste the person's time so if I do ask for a photo it is some aspect I really want to get a closer look at.

Yeah but this was my first attempt to get into pcp I’m still trying to get a rifle I just got blind sided but I agree I sell guitars and music equipment all the time I don’t know how many scammers use my pictures to scale people out of cAsh I’m gonna start writing a name or email like your guys said in a black where they can’t photo shop it out

any one got a extra pcp lying around let me know or sent me int he right direction plz I’ve checked been checking multiple sites every couple days they are 3x what a I have and their still used ha

American Airguns, in my opinion, makes very little sense. One should not be able to make classified ads right after creating an account. Seems like there are a lot of scammers on that site, so I don’t think i will ever purchase anything from there....

Plus, I think 20 posts is still too few for a classified ad post
