Decent First Regulated PCP

Hello All

Ive begin my search for my first pcp and have fallen in love with Hatsan Flashpup. However, my only problem is that I would like to use the rifle for hunting and target shorting. But the flashpup is unregulated. I planned on just buying a HUMA regulator, but that would increase my overall purchase to around $520 (rifle and reg.). Does anyone have any suggestions for an out-the-box regulated pcp for similar price?

Jefferson State Air Rifles has the new JSAR Hawk at $475.00 …. it's regulated and has a bunch of really cool stuff that comes with the purchase. Go to YouTube and type in "JSAR Hawk" and the video will tell you all you need to know about the gun. If you order now, they say yo can receive it before Christmas. Hope this helps, it may be an option you might want to check out.

If you like the “pup” style of rifles that Hatsan is probably the least expensive of the bunch, although I believe Diana has one about the same price. If you are just looking for a lower cost regulated rifle the Umarex Gauntlet and Benjamin Fortitude can be had for around $300. For the Fortitude you can use the AGNATION code on the Crosman website for 25% off which should bring it to about $230. If you got a few extra bucks you could get a regulated Marauder for $470 with the same discount code.

I agree with the previous posters about the Jefferson Hawk, although it looks like a very nice gun for the price, it has not hit the streets yet.

I would get the Flashpup. I had one in .22 and it was simply amazing for the $$. I just turned the HST to where I wanted it to shoot, adjusted the trigger and it was a great shooter. I sold it to a gentleman out West and upon him receiving it, he just installed the scope that I provided and shot a bird at 75yds with 1st shot. He was amazed by it. They are nice for the $$. I believe I was getting 24 or 30 shots per fill. It was very consistent.

Sign up to be notified when a refurbished is available. They actually happen often. If it's what you like I'd wait for one.

I totally agree. I think for my price be range and it being my first airgun it’s a damn good choice. It already has the fpe needed to knock down small game, but I can also regulate it as most of my shooting will be target. Also can’t beat the setup price.
