death grip tripod on an FX Impact

Hi I got PREDATOR TACTICS Deadeye which is similar , NOw I broke where the tube connects to the head , the threads on alum tube like powdered so I sent back tube and head , they either cut it down and rethreaded it or put a new tube on my head , and this lasted 1 month and it loostened up ,so I got a solid 2 inch alum bar and put it inside the hollow tube and I mounted it to head with threw bolts , like an adapter , then I jb welded it all it is now perfect , I would of rather saw a better aluminum tube or thicker , I use mine alot and I mount some 12 pound guns on it with scopes , I would say this is the weak link , as for the tripod it self and the head it is fine , hope this helps LOU

I cut a section of pool noodle about 3" in length. Cut 1/4" lengthwise off the top to make it a flat resting place. Then cut a 45* angle cut for bottle clearance. Put pool noodle in DG not too tight, rest Impact on PN and shoot.

I already had a tripod, so I ordered a ball head with picatinny clamp from an outfit in Utah that manufactures the ball head. Also ordered an extended picatinny and this is what I use now. Hands free. Love it. Death Grip is good, but I did not want to squeeze the bottle.

I own a BOG DeathGrip Tripod that I currently use with my Air Arms s510 Ultimate Sporter. I have an FX Impact MKII on order right now and I'd also like to know if this tripod will work properly with the FX Impact. Is there a place for BOG DeathGrip clamp to securely grab the FX Impact without interfering with the safety switch, cocking level or any of the other moving parts of the Impact? Thanks!

I got the Caldwell precision turret and it does not work well with the impact at all . The only place to try to get it in the clamp is on the bottle and I don't think I want to put all that stress on my bottle . It works great on anything that has a fore grip or a wooden stock all the way up . I ended up making my own but it's a little big and heavy I wouldn't want to carry it around much I just use it when I'm shooting at home or at the range under the canopy . You can see how it dwarfs the Caldwell tripod for my chronograph.this beast was made to hold up a 27 pound camera and the fluid head in it is nice but it's definitely big . I found the tripod used on Craigslist or Facebook for 40.00 and the adapter to mount it to the tripod came from eBay for 12.99 so I made this for under 60.00
