Dear Santa, please make us this block plenum...

Dear Santa, I have a vision of a part that will make the FX Impact a more solid shooting platform and also incorporate more plenum volume at the same time... Airgun-hobbyist

The Impact will flex if the person shooting inputs too much pressure on the grip. This part holds all the secured mechanical parts as one and "fixes" (some) shooter induced point of impact issues. Some machining and assembly required...

Attached is a print that I share with everyone to freely make and/or improve upon the design. I don't have the CNC equipment to make this, so if you do please feel free to use the crude blueprint to produce this for our benefit. (I would like just one of them for sharing in the inception of this aftermarket part though.)

I haven't notice any real flex issues with my Impact.

In fact I shot mine for over a week with the plenum tube clamp above the grip completely loose! Not on purpose of course.

I noticed it felt out of tune and loud mechanically at the shot. Yet it still was shooting great out to 200 yards. When I got home I tried to 1 hole at 30 yards and it wouldn't. So after looking things over I realized the plenum tube clamp bolt was completely loose!!

I released all pressure and then tightened up the clamp after checked for any bending or misalignment. All good! Back to 1 hole at 30 with a nice mellow shot cycle.

I was very surprised it still performed so well with such a key component being loose. And even more surprised it didn't damage or bend anything.

The hold isn't usually an issue on the bench, but with even a pound or so of different pressure on the gun it is noticeably different at longer ranges. It's because of this that I want to shore up the gun's platform. That way it doesn't necessarily have to be handled with kid gloves at every shot (more forgiving), and makes for an even better field hunting gun.

If you have some dimension of the prototype, I can model it, and then do a 3D print pieces to check if it fit in the impact. And the end can sent to build in 7075 Alum, and any color anodize.

Also I have the 3D model of the impact and it can help to get a very accureate model.

I can do this, though it may take a week to post, due to the holidays.
