Deal alert ....but which scope to buy?

I bought the Hawke back when the same sort of deal happened many months back. I only use the, for my CZ452, for 100 yards or better so it has been just fine. Mainly bought it cuz it looked like it would fit and allow me to keep the rear sight intact which very few scopes will do. I was pleased when it werqed out well and fit just fine allowing me to keep my rear sight on and still have good eye relief.

The S-Tac sounds to be a better scope but with less magnification and a different reticle. I don't have both so can't give you a comparison.

While I don't own the Aim sport Alpha 6 4.5 - 27x50 scope I know folks that I would believe opinions that do, they report good clear glass, crisp parallax ranging , good illumination nice reticle, plenty of holdover marks Hard to beat for the money... I have been looking at a new scope also, The alpha 6 and vector optics sentential are on my watch list, ( more my budget watch list ) Let us know what scope you decide on, and how it performs .

... they are just an average price. Not really a screaming deal at all.

Ohh my…what 's up with that then ? … "Not really a screaming deal at all."....

Huhh ? ....

Tell you why i reckon so :

Promo tag on Sightron S-TAC 4-20x50 MOA2 here at our store was ----- hold on to your socks -----
€ 575,00.
Which equals about 665 USD.
Again : as a deal breaker. Normal price was 780 USD.

So you get my drift, kendive... at 299,- bargain price i ll gladly take two please.

Sure i don t have a clue what kinda price tags Sightrons are carrying in the US.
Here ’s something to compare with the kind of prices we ‘deal with’.

Comparable with US prices? Or a lot more expensive ?

By the way, rwsmike,

In this particular case i d go for the Sightron over the Hawke anytime.
nomojo65 already summarised why.
Plus my eye being much more at ease with the Sightron 's 50 objective at max. magnification still holding 2,5mm exit pupil.

Sightron, not as heavy, better glass, repeatable, audible-tactile turrets, only negative I could see was parallax adjustment was a little stiff

So you can let go of your hesitation, Mike, there s no more doubt now…
