Nice shots. Closer range, I think, because the pellet got there almost immediately, even in slo-mo.
That last shot...looks like it exited right below his eye.
I've got one marinating in the fridge right now, going to bake him in a day or two. It'll be the 5th one in two weeks. There's a mulberry tree in my back yard, so when I popped the resident squirrels, the ones from neighboring property jumped at the opportunity to move into that prime real estate. (and into my fridge)

That's for sure. I think when dominant males are removed others swarm in. I'm beginning to wonder where they are all coming from. People always talk about reproducing like rabbits, but squirrels must be prolific too.

Actually the stick past freely through the head with the trajectory lined up. Collateral damage from skull fragments maybe.

Lol what a coincidence! Your 3rd squirrel gave me the same look and I took the same H/L shot in my "ground squirrels got x-sighted" video
