Daystate's All NEW Delta Wolf intro video!

Now this may change should what I see, and more importantly read about the Delta, turn out to be NOT reality, however,

The only problem I have with this gun is the Price,

And the only reason I have a problem with the price is that I cannot afford it.

It would seem looking around AGN, and at what many folk have already added to their collections, that many others can (afford it), enjoy fellas (and gals), no green eyed monster here✋.

About 5 years ago I drove about 2 hours from my home to Precision Airguns. Jim put a Airwolf MCt in my hands on his outdoor range. Wow! I have never shot anything quite like that since. My Air Arm came close but those electronics do make a difference. As I watched this video I thought, if the Delta Wolf is under 7 pounds that's what I am going with rather than the Impact. Just read it's 6.85 pounds. Perfect. Was concerned about attempting to tune the Impact. It appears with the Delta Wolf it's not a big deal.

This looks very promising. I passed on the Impact because the cocking lever is not switchable to the left side. This is, but the electronics bother me. I'm horrible with anything digital. My phones crap out on me, computers crash, I can't even get a blue ray player to last more than a year. Plus I'd have to sell a kidney to afford one. I'll keep reading about it and watching videos, but I'll stick with my Regal.

Daystate, please put one in Steve's hands for a thorough testing, and another in Dana's for real life off the bench, in the field testing!

Well it is very innovative and beautiful without a doubt! I am sure it will be very accurate, and I especially like the sliding scope rail and the electronic trigger.

But someone previously replied that the offering price of 2450 British Pounds/$3197.00 USD is just the price for the 12 ft.lb. UK model, and that the FAC version will be even more! So if we assume that the FAC version will probably be $400.-$500. more, that brings the U.S. price to somewhere in the neighborhood of $3600.-$3700. Then if we add a mid priced scope like the new Element Titan at $800... and then $300.-$400. for a bipod we are now in the neighborhood of $4600.-$4800? That is a pretty rich neighborhood indeed!

If this new Daystate was priced the same or even a little more than the Impact MKII at say around $2500. I think they would sell truck loads of them...but at a base price of $3600.-$3700. only a relatively few very wealthy individuals will be able to afford one, and very few of us working class guys will be able to afford one. I guess I've just got the "working class blues"... Maybe someone could start a GoFundMe page so poor ass house painters like me could get one of these new Delta Wolf's too! 😂 😆

Sincerely, Poor Chuck

Makes sense Chuck. I think no matter what gun you have there’s the expense of the scope, bipod and accessories. Also, I have seen LOTS of Tier 1 scopes in the $3000 range at these tournaments on their Impacts, RAWs, Red Wolf, and others. LOTS. And anyone that can afford to put an ATAC-R Nightforce, March, Schmidt & Bender, Kahles or similar on their Airgun can certainly afford a Delta Wolf. Also, I’m pretty sure a Ferrari costs more than a Corvette, even though both are pretty fast cars....

I have $3000 price range scopes and to be honest I wont buy a $3700 base PCP gun , I thought 3k for the FAC with ability to tune , Mags are a bit small , and I am not sure if you get 2 and a tray , WOW If I mount my PM2 or USO or therma l and a accutac on it is like $ 7k this is really insane , well maybe they will be in the 3k range with a few mags and loaders and an app to tune them

I found some additional specs

Lot of good stuff. Seems like they should have included a semi-auto system as well. Maybe another model? Also, those are small mags, but they do look like they are more slug friendly than spring loaded mags, with the forward and reward caps and individual projectile ports. Interesting that they stuck with a conventional mechanically adjustable regulator. Will have to remove the bottle and vent the plenum to increase the pressure...making the electronic adjustments a bit less automatic.

Agreed. Red wolf is very consistent but not absolutely perfect across a very wide pressure range. So double regulation, first mechanical and then electronic should make for excellent consistency. Still want to know how the mechanical reg pressure is adjusted and hoping it's automatic (possibly wishful thinking) rather than fixed. Manual could be a bit of a can of worms.

It'll also get rid of the changing harmonics the red wolf needed to deal with as the fill pressure dropped. I have found that on high power at least, my red wolf standard power shows a subtle change in POI and absolute precision below about 180bar, long before any actual change in velocity. Can only assume it has to do with harmonics... Or perhaps an overthinking shooter 😅

Macros I’m sure this is why Daystate has double regulated. Harmonics are particularly important for slugs and surely Daystate is keen to have the DW be a good slug gun. I made a post about this very point some time ago and was basically told I didn’t know what I was talking about.

When Tony Balis of Daystate mentioned that the constant pressure of the regulator will produce a more consistent BC I’m sure harmonics is what he is talking about. What else could that mean??
I shoot my RedWolf tethered at a regulated 190 with slugs and love to shoot it that way. Amazing consistency

Hqve often though of putting a huma and plenum between the bottle and the gun.

I also like the idea of a mechanical regulator presumably feeding the electronics, with a very consistent upstream pressure?

thats it. it allows the BC to remain more constant and gives the electronics a simpler task when correcting for velocity through the on board chono. .

Tony’s quote. As you can see he has mentioned the bc staying more constant. Not the velocity. The bc.
Don’t you think this amounts to harmonics?
