Daystate Wolverine R HP (Full Review)

Hey guys, I was able to grab this beautiful Daystate Wolverine R (HP) off the Airgun Classifieds and it was impressive. At least as good as the RAW Chassis Gun I reviewed. Tons of power...anything under 25gr broke the sound barrier. ...18gr at 1038 FPS... but it put those 25.39gr JSB pellets on target with extreme accuracy.  ...46 foot pounds in .22 with proper shot placement is no joke. This new Wolverine 2 also sports a side lever action and comes in any caliber, .177 up to .303! The Huma regulated Wolverine (2) R High Power is tuned to perfection. It's definitely worth the price. It's a work of art that shoots a good as it looks. Thanks for watching! -Nate

Sold mine. Great gun, accurate and superb trigger. I just never got use to the length, with a LDC on it was fairly unusable for what I wanted it for, makes a great bench rest gun though. I also learned (after purchasing) that with daystate "R" and "HP" cancels themselves out. The HP is what attracted me to the rifle but it wasn't actually high powered, unless you consider a .25 shooting 50 ft lbs HP. The one I wanted (the real HP) shoots .25 at around 70 ft lbs, but is unregulated.

Worked on a few HP-R in .25 cal ... way too small a valve and transfer size to make decent power in that caliber.

When you did get it to make power near there claim or above the amount of hammer spring required was excessive and cocking very stiff.

The harper slingshot hammer for high power was to light and stroke too short. Jacking up the power put even more strain on the magazine indexing plunger which already has a failure issue.

Just honest findings from a Tuners perspective.
