Daystate Valve Body Seals Replacement

I am trying to replace the valve body seals on my Mk3 but there seems to be a problem with the o ring groove sizes which seem to be two narrow for the seals supplied in the kit.

Has anyone else had this problem, maybe I am missing shims or something?

For one, the design has you NOT tighten the parts completely until valve is inside the air tube & secured. Then with a long tool that fits the end cap tighten the parts together which crushes the o-rings slightly. I do these all the time and just always grab the correct o-ring matched up from my large selection. IIRC the rings are Metric 2.5x22's Buna/n 70 duro.

** hope someone else can confirm the size tho ...

PS. See those TWO odd marks on mid tube ? ... those are from the receivers Forward anchor screws bottoming out against the valve. Shorten the screws .020" or so and the receiver will be more secure and accuracy likely better too.

That makes perfect sense, I will make a tool up for the job. When tightening the components should I apply just a gentle tweak or is there a torque figure?

Another question if I may. When I stripped the gun someone had applied Loctite on every screw and it was a nightmare breaking the seal. With a PCP (no spring vibration) do we really need to Loctite screws?

Thanks👍
