Daystate Tsar

It's an Ataman, just rebranded. That's not a bad thing but it will let you search for some info about Atamans in general.

I had one of the handful of The Ataman versions that made it to the US a few years ago. Single load, extremely accurate. I found the stock to be finicky at all the adjustment points and to be very sensitive to any change in how you apply pressure when/how its held or supported. Any change affected poi.

It ended up being too much work to enjoy shooting.... for me.

The FWB requires deliberation in hold too.

If your going to spend that kind of money, look at the Thomas. Better than either in all respects.

edit... I don't know that a Thomas is even an option in Iran. I should check locations before I spout off...

Get a Daystate Red Wolf and the programmer. Or the Greek Heliboard.

Either standard or HP would do fine if shooting at only 50 yards.

The HP adds higher power for heavier ammo flexibility to shoot out to 100 yards and the programmer can do magic and you can set to tune it without the need to disassemble the gun unlike mechanically driven guns. The Greek Heliboard is great too.

The adjustable electronic fly by wire triggers are and quick lock time are unmatched.

So no changes to barrel or other part? I thought they have done some modification.

Yeap Thomas is available. But with all modification (stock and 40j kit) I should pay 3 times more.

I'm searching for FWB price list.

Now for 25m light styer (LG110 or challenge) and FTP900 mostly win. for last one LG110 could achieve 738 and Thomas 727.

For 25m heavy kalibrgun and styer.

For 50m normally airgun tech and kalibrgun product win the competition. for last one 1,2,3 and 4 was Vulcan 2, Vulcan1, LG110 and cricket. impact was 20 and Redwolf 24.

I wanted some thing new. I have never saw tsar name in any competition here, so I thought it would be good to try it.

Fwiw, I've been using a Tsar for Ft for around 2 years. There is another being used in our club, as well. The power plant is very well made. The stock... somewhat crude compared to FWB or Anschutz , but still very functional. Main problem for me is getting the scope far enough forward. I have reach forward mounts and my butt adjustment pretty much all the way out. It's fine from the bench.

Having been inside a huge number of ag's, I consider this one extremely strong and well made.... much more so than an FWB 800. My regulator has been impeccable but the other person had trouble with his... not sure what. It seems well designed and assembled to me. Trigger is as good as any match rifle I've shot. Balance is ok but I like my AA RN10 better.

Ok...so I think it's well made and nice to shoot but we HAVE had some negatives. 12 ft lb models are reputed to shoot VERY well but ours are 20 ft lb models. Velocity consistency has been extremely good but the factory barrels just didn't do well. I worked on my own but never got it good enough to suit me so fitted a couple of LW polygon's I had on hand and they have been stellar. A third Tsar in our group says his is fine but he has not used it in comp yet. The last thing and main issue I've had is the inefficiency. Mine can barely make a 40 shot match from a 220 bar fill. The other gentleman's SOUNDS different and he can get 70 shots from his. I don't know what the difference is yet. Mine for sure is wasting a lot of air. The problem on it is that the configuration of the hammer system only allows for preload and the hammer spring is long and unsupported. There is no way to adjust stroke. Not sure how the 12 ft lb models are configured but I've installed the lightest spring that supports itself and turned the reg down and even built a hammer spring guide, as much as it allows, and still wasting a lot of air at 19 ft lb.

I just re-read and realized that you were probably asking in reference to the 22 cal. No experience with that one but still feel these are quite strong and well made vs the 800. Anyway , that's my experience so far.

Nice feedback. Thanks for sharing you own experiences.

I have no access to polygonal barrel. Only STX barrel are available right now.

I would go for FWB 800X. I found used one for reasonable price.

If you use lower reg pressure you need even lighter spring. I think turning reg up would cause to velocity drop.
