I just received my much awaited Daystate Safari .25. A beautiful rifle I must say.

The sticker on the box says "REDWOLF (HP) .25 65FT/LBS HI LITE – SAFARI"

but the test report which comes with it is showing 50 ft/lbs ??

Should I be apprehensive ? Dont understand.

This is the same as my Redwolf HP Laminate in .22

50FPE with which pellet? just remember the SAFARI & RW HP are the same internals mechanically, only the board and battery are different.

Did you chrono it yet? the 65FPE figure is only achieved with the 34g JSB pellet, 65FPE is too fast for the 25g.

I agree with Spray1Mark. Mine came from the factory  shooting 25.4s on low power at about 49 ft/lb. 63 ft/lb w 33.4s on Hi.

If your HP is an older one, the new boards give a SIGNIFICANT increase in power and all the Safaris are the new board.

My older HP 22 shoots extremely well, so I don't think it gives up anything to the new ones except as 25 or 30 cal. The new boards are more appropriate for them.

nope. i havent used it yet. just saw the test report which came with it. it is the same as the test report which was with the rw .22 hp (non safari).

i was hoping that someone who also has a .25 safari to tell me what they have. the box sticker say 65.

my older hp in .22 shoots great too. its the safari in .25 which i just got and was a little rattled by the report. am i the only one? is the report reading on low power ? did i get a faulty piece… but that cant be true as then daystate wouldnt ship it after the testing.

shall get to the chrony soon enough but it will be about 2 weeks before i can get to the range :(

Highly unlikely that it's that low on Hi power. The 25.4s are typically the most accurate, though not by much now, so it would require LO to test with them. The whole idea of the Safari is to send big pellets, big time. I've tested on 3 different ones now and they all were at close to 65 ft/lb on HI. They have also been tuned well above that with little effort so don't be too concerned until you actually test.
