Daystate Revere quick thoughts 💭

It’s a fantastic looking rifle, the action is smooth, accurate, and did I mention beautiful. So what do you do with a new rifle? Of course you drill holes in the stock to install sling studs. The only potential gripe is that it has a bit of a bark, even with the 0dB moderator AOA is selling with it for an extra $50. I tried several other different moderator versions such as a Donny FL Tanto and a larger 0dB and they all sound about the same. I’m thinking it’s because of the shrouds venting. I do love the new magazine and can’t wait for the ones for my Red Wolf to arrive.

Very nice looking rifle. I have a non-Revere but a great shooter and very beautiful. I have been considering adding just a front swivel stud for bipod mounting. Did you epoxy the swivel mounts?

I didn’t epoxy the studs in I really don’t think that would be needed. I have an old Ruger 10/22 that had OEM studs and they weren’t glued in and after 30 years of use they never backed out.

Didn't know about the 0db suppressor deal either, probably would have gone for that. Pretty happy with the Donny Sumo though, even if it's a bit large for the rifle. Seems to pretty much eliminate the report, though I do still clearly hear the hammer hitting the valve.

Great job on the sling studs! Will be putting some on mine too, will probably use epoxy though, at least on the front stud, since it'll be using a loop style shooting sling. A tight loop can put some serious pressure on the front stud.

My one quibble with the rifle, and Daystate in general- put some sling studs on those beauties.

You should not ever need to epoxy a wood screw stud in a wood stock. If the wood is thin, maybe use a machine screw stud and T nut. Not necessary in this application.
