It’s a fantastic looking rifle, the action is smooth, accurate, and did I mention beautiful. So what do you do with a new rifle? Of course you drill holes in the stock to install sling studs. The only potential gripe is that it has a bit of a bark, even with the 0dB moderator AOA is selling with it for an extra $50. I tried several other different moderator versions such as a Donny FL Tanto and a larger 0dB and they all sound about the same. I’m thinking it’s because of the shrouds venting. I do love the new magazine and can’t wait for the ones for my Red Wolf to arrive.

    Truly tempted.

I assume the "bark" is due to the short length (shroud)?.

    enjoy.👍

Very nice looking rifle. I have a non-Revere but a great shooter and very beautiful. I have been considering adding just a front swivel stud for bipod mounting. Did you epoxy the swivel mounts?

Beautiful rifle, very nice! I didn't know that they were selling 0db moderators as a $50 add-on or I might have gone that route. That's what I get for ordering online instead of calling. Looks really nice.

Nice job on the studs.  I have an unregged XL and I'm hesitating installing them, but need to.  Taking it into the woods yesterday I forgot how nice she handles.  Daystate couldn't have have named it better.  "Huntsman".

No OEM sling studs on any Daystate rifles that I know of

I didn’t epoxy the studs in I really don’t think that would be needed. I have an old Ruger 10/22 that had OEM studs and they weren’t glued in and after 30 years of use they never backed out.

Ohhh yeah I learned that lesson also. I always call AOA no matter what the website says.

Didn't know about the 0db suppressor deal either, probably would have gone for that.  Pretty happy with the Donny Sumo though, even if it's a bit large for the rifle.  Seems to pretty much eliminate the report, though I do still clearly hear the hammer hitting the valve.

Great job on the sling studs!  Will be putting some on mine too, will probably use epoxy though, at least on the front stud, since it'll be using a loop style shooting sling.  A tight loop can put some serious pressure on the front stud.

My one quibble with the rifle, and Daystate in general- put some sling studs on those beauties.

I think I chunked two of those adapter plates in the last year thinking "won't ever need these" and as it always turns out now I wish I had one. I think they came with three different UTG bipods that I purchased. Never fails…

You should not ever need to epoxy a wood screw stud in a wood stock. If the wood is thin, maybe use a machine screw stud and T nut. Not necessary in this application.

That's one of the problems with the Huntsman.  It's hard to mount a flat picatinny rail on it with such a thin forend.  When I mounted the shortest sling stud I could find, I still had to shave the tip down so it wouldn't be up against the air tube.  If one was to use t-nuts, the stock would have to be counter sunk making it even thinner.

Very nice.  May I ask what caliber you ordered?

I have emailed my rep at AoA a couple of times about the Revere in the past week or two.  I thought I was on the call up list months ago for when they first arrived.  Ughhh. Looks like they're out of stock now. 😡

Mine is in .22 caliber. I initially thought about getting the.177 but I figured if I didn’t like it a .22 would be easier to sell. I now know that won’t be the case as I do love the looks and the performance. Hope you get yours soon.

Nice.  Thanks.  .22 is what I was waiting for.  When I saw your post I immediately went to Krale, but unfortunately they're not showing them yet.

Baker Airguns appears to have them in stock, at least the website will let you add to cart.

    bbstacker,

Thanks!  And it looks like they have them in .22.  I will give them a call tomorrow to find about about getting one outfitted with a picatinny rail, studs, and a suppressor.  If they can set me up, it'll be my first transaction with Baker.  👍
