Daystate Regal XL question

Why not call AOA and get straight at the fact of the matter ?

FWIW .. all Regals / Huntsman and there variants I ever came across always had FOSTER fillers.

The New, HR model comes with a fill probe. I think it has something to do with the fact that the put 2 gauges on the gun, the front facing gauge is now where the foster adapter used to be. Is best I can tell ya. 

The description on AoA explains it. With the regulated model, the gauge near the action would show the regulated pressure and it looks like daystate has used a gauge on the front of the tube (that would show tube pressure) and the fill probe on the side. The non-reg model, looking just at the pics, still looks to have the foster on front.

I heard at PA cup that the regal is supposed to get a side lever action. When that happens I will buy one. 

I can tell you this. I heard the same side-lever rumor at EBR. If I was a betting man, I would bet on it being an option. There are new & “improved” mags coming. I would not count on them being cheaper, but are pretty cool. Open/Close door design. 

I own a Regal XL in .22 cal., unregulated version, left-hand. It is probably my favorite gun - has been very reliable and consistent. It is the benchmark to which I measure all other guns.

I find the unregulated version often outperforms regulated FX guns. My only complaint iis the bolt cocking effort. A side lever cocking mech. would be most welcome.

My Daystate Regals -- .177 cal and .25 cal -- are true works-of-art. 

I would never trade the .177 caliber for any regulated, side-lever PCP. This gun is a true keepsake.

Yup, having owned one the cocking effort was my only complaint. Once you know it's there to stay you get used to it though.

My DS Huntsman Regal XL .22 non regged. Laser like accuracy and other worldly trigger! Got lucky with the stock too.
