Daystate Regal hard to cock

Rick, that's normal for the Regal. You can take it apart, polish and lube the parts that need it. That will help some but the cocking has always been an issue. I think a lot of it has to do with the pencil thin bolt (not much surface area) add on the hammer drag and the magazine cycling mechanism and there you go. As mentioned leave it against your shoulder and give in quick and firm pull back. You'll get used to it and think nothing of it later.

For the white elephant in the room........
I'm sure a lot of Regal owner would like to hear more about the regulator install. Who did it, did they add a plenum, what kind of velocity and how many shots are you now getting? That would make the Regal, the cats meow!!!

"dirtbikerick"So just checking with you folks who have daystate Regals, mine has been hard to cock since new, sent it out to have it tuned and checked by a reputable tuner, had a huma installed, He said he thought it was better but that is just the way the gun runs, I love it except for the effort to cock this thing.
Exactly why I didn’t buy one but chose the streamline. Other reasons include no regulation or power adjustability. Bummer, because I absolutely love that rifle. I have damaged arms from motocross and computer use-can’t afford any additional repetative arm aggravation as a result.
That said, I am a reliability freak, but just can’t pull the trigger on a daystate for these reasons. Too bad they don’t have competitive alternatives, otherwise I would have it. Hate to see a company put all their eggs in one basket that way. Daystate needs to start innovating or they will go the way of the Dodo. Air arms too-how many years have reviewers been telling them to detent their power wheel? Love Daystate and AA craftsmanship though

"dirtbikerick"Hey Jking, I don't remember the shot count, 48 I think, no extra plenum, I had motorhead do the work on it, I have tendon issues in both arms from motocross, I'm 60 now, racing for 38 years has taken its toll, so cocking the regal actually hurts. Shooting the wildcat a pure joy. I love the regal but it might have to be sombody else's pride and joy.

Rick, is your Regal a 177cal or 22? What velocity is it shooting?
