Daystate Pulsar firing query

Just had somewhat the same issue. If the gun is not loaded, I can pull the trigger as fast as I can and it fires each time. But When I put a magazine in it or even have the single shot tray in it does not fire every time. I have to cock it several, times to get it to fire.i have tried several different magazines as well. Some times I can fire 5 shots in a row and then nothing. I though about adjusting the trigger, but unloaded it works just fine.

That sounds worse than mine.😨

I have informed Daystate UK of the problem and their initial reaction was that this was not something they had previously envountered and so would have to contact the Italian ofice to get advice as to how to respond. But as it is Christmas I do not expect a reply anytime soon.😭

If it has to go back for a factory fix then this will be the THIRD time for this, not cheap, rifle. 👎

Hi Penchetta, thanks for the suggestion.

I have just received an email from DS. Apparently what I am complaining about is normal operation. The rifle can fire after only operating the safety; the indexing lever does not have to be cycled.

Something I had not previously realised is that the Pulsar can be taken out of sleep mode by operating the safety switch OR the cocking lever.

However it will not fire when in sleep mode.

Airwolfs work similarly. Pull the trigger "pop". Pull it again immediately and keep quickly pulling releasing pulling releasing- nothing. Release the trigger and let it sit a few seconds and pull the trigger "pop". Might be their dry fire mode working as intended?

The Airwolfs have a single shot mode (Stage 7?) where when enabled you get one shot. It then flashes the safely and make a slight beep. There is no way to fire the rifle period at this point without switching the safety on then turning it back off to fire.

Do you have that on the Pulsar?

The Airwolfs have both the single shot counter as well as the magazine counter. What I was referring to was the 7th programming menu on an Airwolf, "single shot mode".

If this it set to on, after one shot the right safety stats flashing and the board beeps until you turn the safety off then turn it back on. In this mode, it's impossible to fire a second shot (deliberately or accidentally) until the safety is cycled.
