Daystate Pulsar or Vulcan Gen4 (.177)

So the choice has finally come down to either of these 2 Guns. My need is “extreme accuracy” for long range shooting 100-120 yards using a .177. (I can’t get higher Cal’s)

I love the Vulcan but the Pulsar seems to be readily available. So the itch has set in.

Anyone who has used both and can give me an unbiased comparison ? If you had to choose ONLY between these 2 which one would it be and why ??

Thanks.

Thats a long distance for a .177. I have seen some airguns moded to shoot .17hmr slugs. That could get you to the distance you are looking for. If you are stuck with .177 I feel for you because of the distance you are looking to shoot. Not saying you cant do it but 100 is alot and 120... well. I will shoot .177 out to 80 yards or so. Any farther and you really need something bigger. I have a vulcan gen3 in .25 so I cant help you with my thoughts on one in .177 other then Im sure it will be a good shooter. As for the pulsar... That has to be one of the most fugly looking air guns I have ever seen. Not the worst but defiantly up there. Just look more at the caliber at this point and what you really want to do with it. If you are going to be hunting then you will be very, very limited at those ranges and with that said you target will more then likely be small birds birds or something. Then you run into the issue of shot placement because that group will most likely really open up.

I know you wanted info on the specific air guns but I hope this helps you some.

FearnLoading

I just got my 0.177 Vulcan1 Generation 4 bullpup from Krale Schietsport from the Netherlands ( I am in Colorado). I ordered it this last Monday and got it yesterday(Thursday) and went through customs no problem. I couldn't find any dealer in the US with the generation 4 and didn't want the Vulcan2 with it being longer and more expensive. It is discounted with the newer Vulcan2 out. I have a 0.25 Vulcan1 gen 2 and it is my most accurate 0.25 I have. AGT offers awesome customer service for the vulcans and they all have cz barrels. I highly recommend the Vulcan due to my experience with the gun and having dealt with their customer service a few times.

READ his post gentlemen. He clearly stated that he cannot get larger calibers.

I don't have either gun but do plan to get a Pulsar myself. It will be .177 cal. for my uses even though I COULD get higher calibers. Modern heavier .177 pellets have changed a lot in regards to shooting at distance. And appearance is extremely subjective. One person thinks something is "fugly" while another likes it just fine.
