Daystate Pulsar HP .25

I am once again intrigued by the Daystate Pulsar HP .25.

I’ve owned a few Daystate. Top notch quality and my air wolf MTC was so fun. I think the electronics are cool. I’m also liking Vulcan 2 and maybe Taipan.

The only things I don’t love about Pulsar:

- long at 35” for bullpup ( without moderator). My Steyr Scout is only 39”.

- price, even discounted it is $400 more than Vulcan.

Im hoping some who read this can confirm the pulsar, without a moderator is quiet? I live in rural area and shoot centerfire rifles in my backyard, but Airguns are cool to me because they are quiet.

If I don’t need moderator then the pulsar would be shorter than Scout.

Thanks

I have two Pulsars .25 and .30 HP

Even .30 is surprisingly quiet without a silencer, with short 4-inch moderator - it's just pfff

Yes, Vulcan 2 is cheaper but couple things I hated and traded my Vulcan 2 for Pulsar .30 HP

Daystate magazines are head and shoulders above Vulcan - it's finicky to load, but the worst thing you never know how many shots you have left, you cant see pellets in any way, when magazine is in the gun, Pulsar - you always know exact shot count, your gun is loaded or not and you can't double feed, it's impossible, it cycles only once per shot, loading magazine it's just way easier than Vulcan.

Another thing I hate - it's not quick-release, it has probe, I have 3 carbon tanks, other guns have QR, you always have to look for that misplaced probe, also it has a pressure gauge in front of the tube, it means if you want to check pressure - you need to look at the barrel, especially if it's loaded - I just didn't like that. Pulsar has display on the side

If you need to adjust power on Vulcan you need tools, Pulsar - it takes a few seconds, open menu and adjust power level.

Also some very neat features, you made last shot in the magazine - it vibrates, no more pellets left, low pressure - it blinks red. It has build-in laser, love that, especially at night or when I need to find target fast.

Only one thing I would change - cocking lever is in the back, Vulcan has in the middle right above the trigger, ohh BTW trigger - I would say Pulsar has the smoothest trigger I ever saw, you can adjust in any way you like and it's electronic. Also, it's not a light rifle with a scope and flashlight, you definitely feel that in your hands

I have .25 for two years already, not a single problem, only one problem I have - I have to buy more and more pellets and go to diving shop to refill air more and more often
