I haven't shot my Panther in 18 months. When I put a scope on it this evening the soft touch coating on the stock feels sticky. What, if anything, can I put on it to make it not feel sticky?

I have some photographic monolights with that same black soft touch coating. I left them sitting in the garage for a couple years and the coating got very sticky. I used some paint thinner solvent on a rag to wipe them off and it worked great. It didn't harm the coating at all, but I can't guarantee your results. Anything you try should first be tested on a small spot that doesn't show.
