Daystate Huntsman Revere has shipped!

Good news for you! I love this gun from afar. Looking forward to your impressions when it arrives. With the regulator are you able to set it up for 40 ft/lbs (assuming .22 of course) should you care too? None the less you’ve chosen one of the best on the market. If you drink red wine, I’d quaff whatever you’re pouring:)! Good taste, & enjoy that gun!!

I'm wondering that myself. Sounds like it voids the warranty if you mess with the regulator at all, but yet their website shows different shot counts at 30 & 40 ft/lbs. Not sure why they would show that unless it could be adjusted? I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Ok, that’s aggravating, I ordered from AoA on 7/6 and, as far as I know, they haven’t shipped mine yet. They even charged my CC.

I understand you guys love AoA but so far my interactions with them have been terrible.

I always find it interesting when you know more (or think you know more) than someone who works at a business you shop at. I am referring to product knowledge regarding the products sold at that business, think Home Depot or Lowe’s. Although, they both seem to be getting better with their employee selection as of late.

Last time I contacted AOA was last year or earlier this year about the Ramus Trident. I called the item by Ramus or Trident, but not both. The employee at the other end had no idea what I was referring to (it’s not like their inventory is so vast they need a reference catalog). After a few attempts, I lost interest and I was reminded why I haven’t shopped there much in 15 or so years. Back in the day, I ordered from Robert or Kip and I don’t recall having problems.. maybe I’m just getting old..

I’m sure to step on some toes by saying this, but I for one am not upset that AOA’s dynasty started to fissure with the loss of the FX brand. And, I say this with no allegiance to either, or any brand/retailer for that matter. They had a monopoly on this sport, and some egos became a little inflated. I like a fair playing field, and I see that is pretty much what we have now.

Either way, the new little Daystate seems promising, and it’s quite handsome too!

Thanks Damon, I missed his post about that. I couldn't imagine Daystate going backwards. I get up around 60 on my unregulated Regal. I couldn't reliably shoot a field target match without a top off. Daystate specs say it gets 48 shots in .177 for the Revere on their site.

Another question. does the new revere have the mechanics to use the ten shot magazine?

I thought I read somewhere that it is not backwards compatible, but I could be wrong. I'll do a little more digging to find out, because it might be handy info for a possible later purchase of extra magazines. I'm sure the price of the 10-shot will be going down a little.

The new magazine is definitely backwards compatible with most Daystate guns.
