"dr_beretta"Bill, you're spot on. This is the conundrum most of us find ourselves in. We need more than one rifle to meet our needs. I pick up my Compatto when walking through thick brush or dense woods due to its synthetic stock. But for anything else around the house or in open woods, this gun will come with me.
Yes it is always nice to be able to have more than one rifle for specific uses. The Huntsman Regal XL is very appealing to me and would be great as you say out of dense woods for say shooting pigeons, rats and other pests. Too bad for me in that although I am right handed I have a left dominant eye and shoot left handed. I not sure that your rifle comes in a left hand version. Enjoy your new rifle. Bill

I have the left handed stock with the bolt remaining on the right. Not a problem for me as I have several cartridge firearms set up the same. I do believe there is a 100% leftie set-up available as well. I have the same rifle as the original poster. I've had it several months and it is the first air rifle I've had since my childhood Daisy Eagle....and that was a long time ago! It is one of my best purchases ever. I've had zero problems with it.....except the old operator headspacing problem. I double loaded it shortly after getting it....actually the first day... but I was able to use a cleaning rod to lightly punch the pellets out the breech. I love this rifle and would recommend it highly.
