I have a neighbor who has one to sell and he wants $750 for it. I had one and sold it years ago but all the new PCP air rifles out there I don't know if it is fair price. It look almost new and his chronograph shows 18 grain JSBs at 862 fps average. Does anyone have an opinion? Thanks

$750 appears to be the asking price on AGN classified for the DS Regal XL unregulated.
As far as the regulators goes, in my opinion it is unnecessary in .177 caliber. I'm still learning my .22 cal DS Regal, however, I suppose a regulator would allow for a higher fill pressure max ---> more shots per fill. Right now, I only fill to 200 bar per factory recommendation.

Like 2many said the newer version regal sells for that price on the forum. Personally I wouldn’t do anything more than 650.

I had a Daystate Huntsman XL HUMA regulated .22 caliber and traded it in for $600 about 6 weeks ago. Depending on the condition, any added accessories and overall quality of stock; I think $700-$800 is reasonable for a negotiation starting point.

@tommyb the classic is the predecessor to the regal. Yea 700-800 is starting point for the regal but I would assume the older classic would start in the 600s if we are talking a base rifle with no added accessories.

And after I thought about it, you can get a brand new Regal unregulated for $999 from AOA with a 3 year warranty. Makes it a tough sell for $700-800 used.

Great rifle, but very few shots per charge with the short tube. As taken from Airgun Chronicles-

I would pay no more than 600 because you can Get the xl newer version for 700-725 used ....think orings and how much older that model is

The rifle looks just like the picture that AirNGasman posted and it is a 22 caliber. The rifle does come with 12-10 round magazines. I will see if he is willing to down on the price. I really like the way the short tube looks. Thanks for all of the comments.
