Daystae MK4 walnut , any good?

I'm not even certain why as I do not feel good about electronic rigs but there is a fellow near me with a Daystate MK4 .177 in Walnut ( wouldnt even think about the black one ) for sale at about 1/2 of what I see used one's go for and the darn thing keeps calling me.
Seems in like new condition, I could test drive it, a person needs to look out for ?????????? on these.

Is the MK4 all that?

TIA

John

In the high power setting mine really likes the jsb 10.34S and does about 840 ft per second with them I've never counted how many shots I get per fill but I'm sure it's around a hundred. But I did just get even heavier jsbS I think they're about 13 grains and early groups looks like it might be my new round but I'm not sure about the velocity

They're fantastic guns. Quite amazing the first time you shoot them. At least they were for me.

Fortunately not a whole lot to look out for beyond checking it hasn't been abused, as there is no hard tinkering people can really do.
By that I mean you don't have to worry some garage gunsmith has gone and tried to F around with the hammer spring or do trigger upgrades etc etc.
They're generally very reliable.

Give it a test run and let us know your thoughts!

Gosh friends, making it hard not to drive 25 miles to check it out. I dont shoot FT anymore and only informal bench ( bag & card table ) but no one siad anything like NO the electronics are ......................... .
It belong to an older fellow who simply cant hear well enough to deal with via phone and his grand kids took the only pictures he has. I likely should throw an airgun in the car & drive over to his place.
What I need and what I might want are different but this rifle has been in my face for too long.

I am not going to buy it, I'll just call and see if he wants to shoot a bit, ya, nothing wrong with that plenty of spare time and gas is cheap, airguns airguns airguns ...

Thanks,

John
