Thanks Augie. Cooper and Alex both got Go Pro 9’s for Christmas and Cooper really wants to start filming. We started with him taking a few pictures the other day. It’s been a while brotha! Talked to Dennis the other day, We talked about you! LOL All good of course. Just playin. No Rob, It’s just a carbon fiber tube. I made barrel liners with it and then took off. I cut notches and added padding to it so I can wedge it onto the tripod on one end and under my stock on the other. No matter what anyone tells you, because when shooting off a tripod there is only one point of contact, it’s a wobbly proposition. I learned while competition shooting that the more contact points, bone on bone rests, straps and bags you can use the better. This one support add’s 100% more stability, add a strap, it’s even better. You can’t see in the picture but I’m using a cheap gimbal head too. It’s much more stable and convenient. That’s what I want to replace.

Generally, unless you’re using a 52-55mm ball head, it’s more stable and much easier to move around and shoot without having to lock it down between each shot. For the ball head to be stable, you have to lock it down before you shoot, the gimball head, you don’t. Much easier to use, move around and shoot faster.
