It came right down to him or me, I didn’t know how many pellets were left in the magazine and it felt just like what a mountain man facing a grizzly bear with his Hawken rifle must have felt! Only he would have had a .50 caliber and I did this with a .177,

what a rush to hunt dangerous game.

Tell us about your FX400 .177. I've never seen one. Thanks

SDellinger, the Royal .177 is my favorite pesting gun. It’s got the smooth twist barrel and it’s very accurate out to 60 yards. I had heard that the barrels leaded up fast and would lose accuracy, but that’s not what I found. It lost accuracy after many tins of pellets and I cleaned the barrel and the accuracy came right back. Haven’t cleaned it since and it’s still one ragged hole at 40 yards. I’m totally sold on this gun.
