Daisy 880, fun, cheap and accurate!

So i got my second Daisy 880, nothing wrong with the first one, but i needed another one because... Well i don't realy know why... But they are cheap so why not... And this is different from the first, or atleast it likes other pellets, pellets that non of my other guns like, so i am safe right? Right... Anyway i brought a full case of different types of pellets to test what she likes and set up a target at 15 meters, i tested each pellet at 6 pumps and 10 pumps, 5 shot with each one, first pellet out was the Crosman Premier domed 7,9gr, and the test could stop here, cause this one she liked, so i zeroed with this, next one jsb 8.44 4.52 size, didn't like it at all, my other 880 loves the 8.44 in 4.51 but i didn't bring that one, then i tested a cheap pellet named Luman, nice style that looks like jsb 10.34gr in the shape, and this was also very good! Next was H/N FTT and this also works pretty good, and the last one was the bsa red star, another cheap pellet that non of my other guns likes, well up til now, cause this works great in this 880, but there is a problem, they are very porly sorted, i even found a 22 cal pellet in the tin! And i get some flyers from them, but the most of them are very accurate! So i moved the target out to 25 meters to test some of the pellets and they where accurate at this distance too, didn't test the FTT cause it started to rain so i had to end the testing, i have not done anything to the gun, right out of the box, haven't even clean the barrel yet... Need to do some chrony testing too... And yes, i know this isnt a shooting the eye out of fly at 250 meter gun, but out to 50 no sodacan is safe...

Ok, I have been resisting these for such a long time. I already have some very nice airguns, I don’t need another, right? I can’t keep up with what I already have so why add more to it?

ok, now your post has me wanting to give my money for another air rifle! I need to be strong here....

Great groups and test. This could be the only air rifle that I would need for what I do. If I could just be content....

I am glad i didn't bought one of these as my first airgun, cause i would probably not have bought another! That is how much i like these, its not so powerful but for my needs its perfect, its not ment to be serius, just a fun gun for plinking, or targets, or pesting if you want to, probably a perfect gun inside a farmbuilding or similar, and both youths and adults can use it, its easy to pump even up to 5-6 pumps, so 3-4 should be no problem for your son, but buy 2, cause you wont get it out of his hands hehe! Only problem i have is i get a bit sore on top of my hands below my knucles when i pump 10 times and shoot for long times, 6 times no problem.

Thanks a lot Jorgen! Now I have to go to WallyWorld and pick one (or two) up. I’ll send you the bill! Ha ha! 😜

I keep looking at that bottom picture, it sure is a nice looking rifle. How tough is it to pump 3-4 times? I’m thinking about trying one for my 7 yo son. I need to have some good reason to buy one. Walmart carries them locally for $35. I may have to take a trip there soon! 😜
Very easy, I could give it 10 pumps when I was 12, and even 2 pumps will send a bb through a strip of steak jerky. At that age (any age), I would get him bbs instead of pellets; it's a lot more fun when you can use the magazine and don't have to hand load each shot.
