Dabnabbit,I forgot to totally adjust my Ocular Lens.

I remembered this part, adjust to get crystal clear picture of the reticle.....ok did that.....

but wait, there's more : that adjustment May make the target,or background clearer.....

On some of my scopes it acted like a small parallax adjustment....clearer sight picture.

So now I am not only looking at the reticle ,but also a 25 yard target in the background....

In the end the chity scopes I was looking through turned out not to be so chity...

An ABSOLUTE MUST DO in Field target is set your ocular focus FIRST ( Place paint dots where at ) before setting up your parallax / ranging marks on a side wheel.

Changing the ocular focus after the fact changes the range calibration of the wheels markings and really screw you up !!! Thus WHY the paint dots .. set there and use there.

If in time your eyes change and resetting of ocular becomes required .... plan on re-calibrating the side wheel markings too.

Once I’ve got mine setup I make a small mark with a silver sharpie plus wrap it with vet wrap so it doesn’t accidentally get moved.

How about repositioning the scope? If after shooting the gun for a while you realize that you should have mounted the scope up to maybe an inch farther fore or aft, will making the change screw up side wheel calibration? Uj

No change being only position on rifle .... Scope is its own calibrated devise and could even be put on a different rifle.

Key point being, the accompanying D.O.P.E. Card / Data is what TIES the Calibrated scope to a specific rifle based off Scopes height, pellet weight, speed and zero range.

I have to say that for a simple and concise set of answers here, you have given a good deal of information! Very helpful, at least to me. Thanks.
