Customize my prod

0.113 (or was it 0.143)TP is the MAX tested as peaking that point of diminishing returns.

RAI AR stock adapter for sure!

Hill LDC on the classifieds!!!

That's a start.

OH! H&N FTT 5.53 and 5.54. JSB might not be as accurate. Wal-Mart cheap CPHP may be good. Depends on your gun worth trying.

Shoot it as-is before doing anything else get a good feel of the ol girl.

Might shoot perfect enough with untouched factory settings.

As usual, I worded post poorly. So I will revise it. I’m getting about 24 shots per fill . At about 13 FPE ave. What is power increase potential AND how is shot count affected? I’m not interested in say 20 FPE and getting only 12-14 shots per fill. But if I can boost it to maybe 16-17 FPE for say 18-20 shots? Ok. And yes , I’m favoring an ar style stock or possibly the bracket bar style I saw on the new pp750

Couple of mine are MAXED out everything possibly imagineable HUMA too and some for power not regulated got at least a dozen of them. Been there done that all possible scenarios including a Lloyd Discosrus double tube. You can chop the tube and Go with a regulated Ninja bottle set up but that's killing its balance. Some didn't take too well to bumping the power up so I put them back to original.

Is that my change for my giving myTWO CENTS?

Lol

I erased my post because the info was wrong. I recommended the cothran valve as one of the best power upgrades but I forgot that he only makes it for the marauder not the prods skinnier tube. Yo, do you know if a marauder tube would fit on a prod breech? Or if the prod tube is the same size as a disco tube, the smaller disco sized Cothran Valve could work

Marauder tube fatter no can do. P-Rod-1701P/1720T-2240/2250/2260/2300-most co2s etc/Discovery/Maximus/Fortitude/Challenger/Katana all have the smaller tubes same diameter.

P-Rod and Disco tube same diameter.

With that said, I would recommend the Cothran (disco/22xx) valve. You will get insane power but a declining shot string. Good enough for hunting but not the best for punching holes in paper. Although, some have tuned the beastly Cothran valve with an adjustable hammer, ssg, and regulator. With those mods you can have your cake and eat it too with high power and a consistent shot string. The best part about the Cothran valve besides the power is you can use a much lighter hammer spring so that cocking force will be butter smooth while getting you slug slinging power

16-17 FPE for 18-20 shots is very doable. With a bored out valve, b Staley mod(2-3 o rings in between valve and hammer), .118 TP, 12 lb hammer spring, filled to 2900 psi will give 18-20 shots with a decent bell unregulated bell curve starting with 17 FPE, topping out at 22 FPE, and ending at 15 FPE. These are simple mods that don’t require much time or money.

As Yo says, find its current best shooting pellet. Current production barrels seem to like JSB's and some crosmans. Older barrels did do well with the FTT in the over sizes.

Then, if you just want to step up the power a little, look into the BStaley O-ring tune. With a 0.110" transfer port, slightly heavier springs, and some O-rings, and get 3 mags at 16fpe within 4% Es.

THAT is very much what i was looking for. just a bit of a tweek. and a solid stock , which yo has elaborated on earlier. thanks guys!

so it begins , changed out stock transfer port to a .105 and increased HST 1/2 turn. sooo

stock 15.89 pellet 24 shots high 655 fps down to 597 fps for about 14.9 - 12.7 FPE first 16 shots 655 - 642 fps for very consistent 14.8 FPE

after transfer port and HST increase 15.89 pellet 24 shots high 714 fps down to 609 fps or approx 18 - 13 fpe first 16 shots 714 -682 fps for 18 - 16.5 FPE

this exceeded my expectations for power. now the next step is to try to stabilize the shot string for more consistency , would that be achieved with a heavier Hammer spring ? or lessening the HST? i can experiment to figure this out , i'm just asking input from others who already know this gun inside and out. thanks
