Customer service at FX Dealers

Customer Service at FX Dealers

There are 3 important things I look for when a buying an air gun.

  1. Access to a dealer salesman and Information about the product.
  2. Price and availability (is it in stock?)
  3. Delivery and cost of delivery.
    [/LIST=1]

Recently I bought a new barrel for my Crown rifle. I called the dealer and the salesman picked up on the second ring. ( I’ll call him Dennis) He answered all my questions and I placed the order. Within I hour I received a clear invoice via e-mail. ( 10:00 AM, MST)

By 1:00PM , I received the shipping information with tracking info. By Wednesday 6:00 PM the barrel arrived by UPS, a total of 58 hours after order placement. Delivery cost less than $ 30.00 US. The price was significantly less than any dealer I had contacted, or tried to contact. The phone at dealer # 1 rang and rang till I left my number for a call back which was the next day. Item not in stock. Dealer # 2 not in stock, but I could pre order with a deposit. Dealer # 3 not in stock but I could be placed on a first come first served list. The dealer I purchased the Crown Barrel from was prompt, efficient, best price and superior delivery cost and performance. I bought from KRALE Schietsport in the Netherlands. I will buy from them again without hesitation until the US dealers improve customer service and become competitive.

MOD EDIT: Moved to Dealer Feedback section

I too have encountered the very same problems with several of the largest US dealers. Utah Airguns is not one of them.

However there is a major difficulty when dealing with Krale. Their service, delivery, response, pricing, and information are stellar but you pay dearly if you have a return. You will pay a much higher price shipping the item back to them for the refund which they grant without quibbling. They ship a gun to you for $50.00 in 3 days. You will pay over $100 to return it. In many cases you simply cannot justify returning a product for refund or credit. Shipping is to prohibitive. So If you anticipate the need for a refund or return remember reverse shipping is a gotcha! You paid $50.00 to get the gun and another $100 plus to return it. $150.00+ in the toilet!

1. The shipping cost was $28 dollars. Utah charges almost double for the same service.

2. It was a barrel not a rifle. No dealers contacted had any in stock.

3. A dealer will not work on an airgun unless they sold it to you in the first place.

4. If the gun is by FX it should be shipped to the US headquarters for repair either in or out of warranty. Dealers are subject to mistakes.

Buy American if it’s a RAW.

this is America, you can buy from whoever you wish but don’t reward poor service and high prices.
