Current HW30/R7 and HW50 Cocking Arm Galling

I've read that HW30/R7 and HW50 historically have had an issue the cocking arm galling that could be corrected a cocking arm insert.

Do the current models have this issue? I haven’t felt or heard any scraping of metal on metal with my new R7. I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t missing an issue that needed to be corrected. Thanks....

Randy,I just purchased a brand new HW50 and can confirm that it Does have a synthetic (nylon,delrin?) insert in the recess where the cocking arm makes contact with the receiver. Very smooth cocking action. Hope this helps.

It's been a few years that they've come from the factory with that synthetic strip to stop the galling. I bought my 50s from PA sometime in 2014 I believe, and it came with the synthetic piece and has never galled. (Favorite springer by a long shot by the way.)
