NEVER MIND, I LOGGED ON TO SOMETHING ELSE AND WENT STRAIGHT TO IT BY ACCIDENT

Thanx to Thurmond  for the information.

I actually think they can tell if you have a “gun” with you!

I read a post here where someone brought up these birds abilities, now I can not find it.
I thought it was Plinker posted it.

Anyone have any ideas or have I lost my mind!

I had the same issue, every time I stepped out on the back porch they would fly off, until………………….
I used leafy camo tape on the RWS 48. They could not recognise the gun. They did not seem to care about me leaning against the house.

They learn, remember and recognize threats. A person is no threat, but a person carrying a gun, or something that looks like a gun, is a threat. Assuming your local flock has learned what a gun looks like.

I only got 5 in 2 years I travel about a 10 mile stretch between 6 different lots They recognize the truck as soon as I drive on any of the property loud squeaking and 200 plus yard high exit flight If I ride up in one of the farm trucks they don’t care

I learned when I was a kid that crows are very smart. I noticed when I was in the woods with a gun they never came around but when I was empty handed they would be in the trees right over my head. The only time I got close was once when I had a crow call and I tried to mimic a crow in distress. They came in but I never got off a shot.

I do not know where it is, but the “watch crow” announces when I go out every morning.
NOT a peep when my wife goes out.

’Scout’. You might have a chance if you pick up a cheep mask. Sometimes you have to show them who’s smarter! 😎
