Crow hunting

Hey Jammin…. how do you do your setup?? Do you use mouth calls or electronic? Popup blind or in the woods? -------

1st off have to plot out the route and find good woods.

2nd find a nice branchy dead tree plenty far enough away from truck and road.

3rd Use the loudest electronic call you got plus use a mouth call if you have one.

4th Use a decoy or dead crow so the crows flying in can see.

5th Have about 4 hunters or better completely camo to surround tree.

6th Get ready to shoot as soon as the call comes on. Usually use semi auto's.

Try to make good shots on crows that land in dead tree or surrounding trees and not hit the limbs. Otherwise they get scared. Only stay at one spot for about 20 min. It's a blast!

Went on another crow hunt this past Sunday, ended up with 22. We are up to 77 crows with air rifles for the season. My Huben has taken 28 of them. Great time with great friends and see a lot of our state that I normally wouldn't see.

Went on another crow hunt. Ended up with 20 between 3 hunters. We are up to 97 crows for the year. My Huben has taken 33 total. A friend of mine just got his Huben set up yesterday. He got 11 crows himself. Great time.
