Crossman 1377/22

Has anyone messed with these? Hahaha That’s a bite of a loaded question. I think the Crosman 13xx and 22xx series airguns maybe arguably the most customizable and most modifiable airguns around. Many guys have spent more money on these guns than what may seem sensible or practical to people that just don’t understand or appreciate the hobby.

As an inexpensive tackle box air pistol I can’t think of a much better choice than a 1322 pistol. Self contained. Not temperature sensitive like CO2. Decent power. plenty accurate even with inexpensive Crosman ammo.

For the money I think they are a grata value and I wouldn’t hesitate in getting one if I were you.

i recently upgraded two of them. i am going to list the black one in photos for $120 shipped in conus. it has all of the charles mellon performance parts and shoots just under 600 fps on 13 pumps. the brown one shoots around the same, but i'm listing it for $80 shipped. here is a link to all of the details of what has been done to them : https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/1322-power-mod-question ... .

I've been to the end of the worm hole and back with the 1322's.

I'm convinced that there's way more information out there regarding those little pistols/carbines than is healthy for us. My advise, for whatever it's worth, is to resist the temptation to go batpoop crazy over an additional 20fps.

Then again......I'd hate to cheat anyone out of what can be learned from experimenting with them. So go ahead, have fun !

I think a better question would be..Who hasn't messed with these?

Well what do you want to do with it? Mod wise..... you can flat top your valve yourself if you wave a drill press. If you have a dremel tool you can 45 the valve exhaust port. Barrels you can get from crosman. If you go longer barrel get a 760 barrel/pump bushing. I'm not sure where to get a flat top piston anymore. The last one I got was from some guy off eBay. I had to file a dispute, gave me some bullpoop he was out of town, seems like he did that to others. A guy in I think San Francisco. Then you need a steel breach short or long. Long allows for scope options I guess. Drill out the transfer port or replace with 1/4 air line, people have used vinyl tubing. Polish the hammer, and the tube, get or make a power adjuster, or get a PRod hammer and spring and end cap. Or just get a heavier hammer spring. Or lighter if that's how you want to go. Trigger group. There are some aftermarket groups made of thicker stock, or at least shim either side of the trigger blade. Milk caps cut down to little doughnuts. Lol your lucky, now crosman redesigned the trigger group cover to be held with 3 screws now. The one above the trigger by the safety was added a few years ago, before you had to drill, chamfer and thread the grip frame or have a huge amount of trigger wiggle. Polish the trigger group. Make or buy a spring guide and tensioner for the trigger pull. Maybe add a muzzle break, just Google that. Gmac customs has been the place for most everything. I think GMAC has been around longer than anyone else, and I have never heard any thing bad..... all this could run you 3-500 or more.

You could pretty.much get all of.that with the exception of the flat top valve/piston from crosman for less than half of what you can build one, unless you have all that stuff laying around in an old gun crate collecting dust because you got a few PCPs. Anyways one from crosman custom shop will run you 150-200.

I love the 13xx platform. I've had one configured in just about every way possible.

Oh, does anyone know where to get that little plunger and spring that fits inthat little hole in the rear of the pistol grip. It's that little plunger that allows for the quick release of the 1389 stock. It came stock on the 2289 backpacker

Oh you can modify the probe on the steel breach yourself if you have a drill press and a file. I've seen some vids of guys running the probe flat down to the oring then center punch and.drill the face and press or epoxy in a piece of a.nail to extend the probe. Or just buy one. In the valve their is a spring. You can replace with a.lighter weight spring. Also when you take the valve apart you can cut off about 3 threads off the one half. More volume in the valve. You can round off the edge of the check valve and polish it. Now they are made from white derlin, use to be brass. Anyways you can't go wrong with just adding a steel breach and I like the LPA mim sights, or use a Williams notch or peep
