Cross platform Leshiy 2

I saw someone had put an STX system in a leshiy 2, well mentioned it anyways. And noticed the ODs are very close the FX parts being slightly bigger. Between .05-.1mm bigger.

So I did some measuring and grabbed a 600mm setup that I have, I put some orings over the threads on the stainless connector part and put it in a drill and taped the trigger and put the drill in a vise.

Stroked some varying grits of sandpaper over it back and forth in a jerking off pattern and voila! Really didn't need much.

STX far enough back

.25 pellet in the liner

I'm having a friend 3D print a part that threads onto the stainless connector part and has a tiny shoulder to go over the back of the liner.

600mm .25 Leshiy 2, got a .25 L2 mag coming.

Wow. Now you really have me thinking. I’ve got a bunch of FX barrel kits from 380mm to 700mm and everything in between. It would be great to be able to use one or two of these in my L2 rather than have to buy new Edgun barrels each time. Let us know how it shoots please.

And I have no idea what you mean by this “back and forth in a jerking off pattern😂

Chris

You know exactly what I mean!! 😄

I'm sure it'll shoot great I have no concerns about that, the best part is your FX won't even know the difference once modified it'll work in both guns the same.

I have a 100mm extension piece so I'll be able to use any of my 700mm liners as well. Might do my 500mm also.

You can add some 20x14mm CF to the OD and it'll be rock solid tensioned between the liner lock and the 4 screws on the leshiy.👌

That’s just perfect. I am going to give it a try in the next week. I have a .25 cal 350mm barrel on my L2 and would love to see what I could get out of it with a 500 or 600mm barrel.

Most of the time slugs don’t like chokes . There are exceptions to everything. Knifemaker is having real good luck with a CZ barreled Uragan. And we’ve all seen what the impact can do with the right combination of tuning and size of slug. I found the choke caused the barrel to lead up much more than without one. Just clean the barrel more often.

I don't know the Leshiy at all but it looks like the four set screw are below the center line of the barrel tube and they tighten and squeeze that section around the barrel tube. If so that ought to be a super rigid set up. Add that CF tube and that'll be even better. Great ingenuity Glemm.

Yeah it's very solid already, thanks Jimmy.

For those looking for barrels on the cheap. The Kral barrels are 13.9mm . I just checked a short piece that I have laying around and it fits perfect. I may just end up with a 500mm. At least these are available in Canada and from what I’ve seen with some minor prep are pretty accurate.

Great option there Denis! Good to know, more options and everyone wins.
